I like Ledley, but I don't think anyone necessarily wins with this deal.

Let's be honest, given the contract he's signed, if he's good for us then he won't be here following January. If he's crap for us then we've no doubt spent reasonable money when we have youth players waiting in reserve. If he's average for us, perhaps we'll fend off interest and sign him until the end of the season.

I like him. I think he takes a bit of the defensive work away from Huddlestone, who doesn't like a tackle. Although, I still don't think he'll be playing much whilst Johnson & Huddlestone are fit.

Why didn't most teams snap him up though? On a big fat freebie and he's had to settle for a 6 month contract from a club who had no interest in signing him until their transfers went tits up.

Thing is though the dickhead had the ability to be a mainstay for a side at the top level. Sure not at the likes of Chelsea but his career should have been so much better than what it was. Another player that leaves Cardiff and falls to pieces...
