I have to say, im not convinced we can compete, but players like Sutton, Tomlinson , Bowman etc are the type of players that we will need to escape from the division.

Escape the division through relegation? Ben Tomlinson is one of the worst players I've ever seen in a Rovers shirt, I wouldn't even want him in the team if we were in the division below.

Ryan started off looking decent in his first spell but when he returned he was shocking, been pretty awful at Southport by all accounts as well, I would hope you stay well clear.

I think he's only been linked because of his birth certificate. We're signing some FL kid and a "proven goalscorer" on Sunday and Monday.

A quick Google search would tell you that he's a goalscorer, 69 goals in 141 starts in his 2 seasons at Livingston. Good height too, although I said the same about Mark Beck

Having all but squared off two new forwards, a highly ranked tall centre back is ready to pen a deal to bring him North to Holker Street.

Manny was easily our best player the season before last, very dominant in the air and a firm fan favourite.

Fair to say he had an indifferent one this time round. Not a big talker/organiser and there were a few questions marks over his defending, but people were still shocked that he went. Talk was that he had something lined up with a Football League side.

Will be disappointed if Beckles leaves us and dosent join a football league side! On the other hand Saville is decent and can be very good on his day but Beckles is miles ahead in my opinion and that has shown why so many football league clubs were and are linked with Beckles.

Smith is quality. Alongside an organiser he's excellent at this level. Smith and Livesey would be a decent CB partnership.

Well we've got him tied down for a year and if we're now close to being debt free then unless someone comes in with a decent bid, I can't see Gordon being keen to sell him yet.

I can actually see him coming back down next season, most likely on loan. He's a showman i.e. someone who will perform superbly in front of big crowds, but he will be invisible more often than not when playing in the much smaller grounds. It's very hard to get the ball off him but when he does lose it, he does very little to try and retrieve it for the team.

4 of the current squad have been offered deals (as mentioned previously)
3 former loanees are targets - Nick Wilmer Anderton, Ben Tomlinson and Richie Sutton - expect at least 2 of the 3 to sign
after that who knows? names floating around include Deverdics of Dover (he's a Northerner - but likely bound for L1/L2), Sam Corne (Welling).
I wouln't be surprised if we were after a guy called Jamal Lowe from Hampton & Richmond either - he'll end up in conf national in the next 2 seasons with one team or another....

We are debt free, still sell players when good bids come in! You can't really stand in the way of players when league clubs come knocking. Well you can, but should you?
