Not for me.

We're going to end up with the unsettling of players through the season now, not just in August and January. I know it doesn't quite work like that, but transfer windows are a good thing. Keeps things nice and settled for a period of time.

At least it means we can sign other teams best players whenever we want. ;)

Deffo suits the big clubs this if a club has a striking crisis they can plunder a striker from a smaller club quicker then you can say moses emmanuel

Should never have been brought in at this level IMO.

Gives clubs in financial problems the ability to sell their best players when one of those clubs wants them to go. Allows short term and game to game contracts which can be good for both parties as now the player is not restricted to waiting for the transfer window to play for another conference club should one want him or things don't work out.

Clubs can now dump under-performers at any time if another club wants to bring them in, or agree a sale above on "loan with a view to permanent" basis and be able to bring in someone to fill the gap.

Everybody learned to live with the system, but it's not a good one IMO. This seriously reduces the financial pressure as you don't need to have a squad of players contracted through the season to get you by, no matter what happens.

The way this has been explained to me is that no, there is no transfer window imposed on the National League by the FA/FIFA, but they are going to continue with it anyway. Not sure how true this is, but it would explain why it hasn't been mentioned by anyone other than the Maidstone manager.

"There are a number of changes this coming season which alters the way the 24 clubs in the. Vanarama National League will be required to operate in respect of player registrations.

There will be no longer any `Transfer Window` in August or January and with the removal too of `Emergency Loans`, clubs will now be permitted to loan a player at any time during the season in line with those terms which has been applied with clubs in the Vanarama North and Vanarama South.

(EDit - The Registration Period for Conference North and Conference South Clubs shall be the period commencing at midnight on the last day of the immediately preceding Playing Season and ending at 5.00pm on the fourth Thursday in March next following.)

There will still be a limitation on the number of loans and no club will be able to name more than five players in any one competition fixture."

Nope, told it by a journalist who deals with non-league. If these rules are enforced, then I imagine it's also news to a few NL managers.
