Harrogate have done a good job on stopping us, well organised all over. Does feel like we just need that goal though and the game would become comfortable for us.

1-0 down at HT at Walsall.
should have scored 2 before "Mayonaise*" scored from a corner after the ref ignored Walsall blocking off Farman - plenty to play for though.
* i know that's not his actual name, but i'm not gonna look up how to spell it.

Kelly saved a penalty at Mansfield last week and saved another one today. Could be huge for us, though we’re still 1-0 down and haven’t had a shot on target despite 76% possession. Classic crap MK Dons away performance.

Odd fact but we haven’t been awarded a single penalty this season…(hopes for one this half).

The ref is dying to give us a red card I’m fully expecting one in the second half.
That missed pen is definitely gonna bite us on the arse.

That pen is comically bad, concede a shite one on Saturday and take a shite one when it’s our turn, typical. Changes the mentality completely now despite the fact we’re winning.

Annoying that we come up against the keeper that actually stays down the middle though.

Rovers took the lead against the run of play, the equaliser a poor goal to concede, fairly even game. Officials seemed to give a lot of the 50/50s Mansfield’s way.

I’m shitting it for this second half, feels like such a massive bonus 3 points if we can see it through especially with FGR winning again.

Been the better side first half but we’ve missed our opportunity you’d think. Can’t see Crewe being as appalling as that again 2nd half. Our quality in final third has been dire.

7th match between two clubs: - 3 wins Bradford, 1 win FGR, 2 draws.
The villagers only win was back in 2019.
Yes I remember that game, 97th minute winner and one of the biggest shithouse displays going. They haven’t been like that tonight tbf.

2-0 Dons. All started with yet another dreadful 'homer' decision from the ref. Not our night, which we've said WAY too often this season.

Where's that mid-table thread?

Harrogate keeper's been rather busy facing 2 teams at once poor bloke.

Fromm BBC:

"
Tranmere 2-1 Mansfield
Davis Keillor-Dunn is on as a sub for Mansfield and their leading scorer has almost made an immediate impact, controlling a pass from Tom Nichols and bursting towards goal before being denied by Harrogate keeper Luke McGee.

Yes even by Cooper-era FGR standards the performance that day was a bit too much. Our keeper (Jojo Wollacott) was taking the piss at one end of the pitch (or rather, across one whole half of the pitch) and the elder of the Mills brothers doing similarly wherever he could.

And here we are reduced to wishing MK Dons success tonight

All rational thinking in the bin now. Maynard’s got to go, a clown of unfathomable proportion

Surprisingly easy to beat the gills tonight. They were shit from the off and we bossed it. Hitting form at right time for a playoff run. Maybe. I just need crawley to stop looking like the form team

We're atrocious at home and have been for years. Valley Parade is everyone's cup final (even on a cow field) and we just never raise our game to that level.

As for tonight, typical bottom of the league performance from FGR. Score early, everyone behind the ball and then seal it on the counter. We had no answer to their stubbornness albeit Smith missed from two yards out.

At least that'll put the ridiculous playoff conversation to bed.

Great point for us, Walsall missed a few chances (including a sitter about five minutes before we equalised) and we missed a few opportunities of our own. Would've taken that before the game and certainly would've taken a point at half time.

Got what we deserved, please just give a few young lads a game so I can actually have something to get behind for the rest of the season.

Incredibly fucking annoying game, total domination but could not find the way through.

Harrogate had their eyes set on 0-0 from minute 1 and they executed it perfectly. Believe they did similar at Crewe a few weeks back. Was a scandal that only 4 mins were added at the end, they must have wasted 20.

We've missed a big chance tonight with the other results. McClean banned for the next 2 games as well, we will miss his drive.

Drew 1-1 at Walsall. not too bad a result.
Dean Campbell with the Barrow goal from the spot after Mayonaise fouled Acquah.
Mo Faal with miss of the season on 46 mins. Barrow hit the woodwork twice through Spence and Feely, but we couldn't get a winner.
Josh Gordon was lucky not to get sent off late on after he started to lose his head against his former club
