Always thought it was a matter of time for Sutton to settle into L2 life. Seems they’re getting there now. Think they’ll do ok this year.

Newport fans are a moany fucking bunch aren’t they. Their midfielder has just cleared out one of ours and they’re moaning he’s got a yellow. Bad bad tackle.

Garbage from Newport for the second home game running. Messing around with the ball in defence again and doing nothing with it.

We were by far the dominant team up until the goal. Since then Pools seem to have settled quite a bit and were unlucky not to equalise, Craig Eastmond cleared the ball off the line.

I think we’re still the dominant team here, we look dangerous with every set piece, but we need a second here.

It's been all you, it's been a painful radio listen, might not bother with the second half, need to make changes because that has sounded awful.

Better team in that half and deserve the lead IMO. Newport started brightly but faded, lots of needle in this one.

I suppose it's second nature for football fans to be pessimistic, but I've seen no reason for you to worry. You've been comprehensively better all over the park, and we've just been hoping for a mistake. I was glad to get to half time one down.

We played pretty well... for the last 5 or 6 minutes. Before that... not so much. Second best all over the pitch. Reinforces the point that we've little up front and little outside the first XI. Not much more to be said really. Well played Sutton.

We've been absolutely buggered here tonight, congrats to Sutton on a fully deserved win, how it was only 1 I'll never know, feel like DC picked the wrong team, we have to stop shoe horning Molyneux into this team, he's a talent but he is not a striker, he doesn't fit into this team and he needs dropping, time for both Cullen and Olomola to be our front two going forward, let them try and create an understanding, Goodwin is a grafter but he doesn't look like scoring.

That's now nine consecutive league games for us that have been won by the home team. It's something we need to resolve. Peerless at home, pointless away.

Bloody hell this club isn’t good for my heart.

Very happy for Bouzanis with his 2 great saves to secure the 3 points. Great show of character after his horrid mistakes at FGR and Cardiff.

Overall I thought we deserved the win, however Hartlepool made us work for it. 2 wins in a row, hopefully we can keep building.

We were always going to struggle without Gav & Shelton.
It was a strange team selection & formation ,plus we just never seem to handle Suttons style of play & are just too powerful for us.
Never expected anything tonight,so not that disappointed.
It would also help if we had a keeper who was half decent.

Great win for the Cobblers at Newport. 5 clean sheets in 7 now and looking really solid.
Was a bit more nervy than it should have been though with the ref playing 14 minutes of stoppage time (there was one injury where their player was a grand total of 4 minutes). Utterly bizarre where that figure came from. Ah well, who cares, up to 3rd.

We beat Southampton U23s with only our back 3 from Saturdays game keeping their places, apart from the first 15mins when we really should've been a goal down we controlled the game for long, long periods and in the end just about deserved the win.

Both sides were very, very young with plenty of effort and technical ability in the final third, but with little nous which at times was frustrating to watch.

Didnt have a great deal to do tbh to get the 3 points. We were shite first half, better in the 2nd once the changes came. Can't afford to keep getting the starting line up wrong. 12 mins added was about right, 6 subs and Bennett was stretchered off plus many other stoppages. Scrappy game all told.

Killip these days has more good games than bad but it just shows how poor the squad is. You can have all the numbers you like but some of them wouldn't have got into our mid table conference sides (Martin Smith etc). So far the backups haven't been good enough and that is a worry.

The squad is painfully underinvested particularly upfront and in midfield.

No excuses really, 5k plus at home plus a million in League money. Staff cut right back, player sold to Prem club. I'm expecting Challinor to be backed in January or it could get really tough.

Bennett was down from 69 -> 72 and 30 seconds a sub would take it to 6 or 7 minutes. 14 was just plain bizarre

On to Swindon Saturday, should be a good one. Remember Agombar stool and others it’s a 2pm kick off.

Killip just has no command of his area, he badly misjudged that cross last night and just flapped at it, goal against Tramere he's rooted on the line with the ball flying across the 6 yard box, a confident keeper comes and blasts that ball away, I had my reservations, I think a few did about him going into this season and I think he's going to cost us more points this season.

Cheers Eric, already noted the KO time. Funnily enough Gloucester are my egg chasing team so hoping for 2 away wins in Northampton on Saturday. Aiming to get there about midday and enjoy a couple of pre match bruskies.

I agree that's his weak area but he does make some good saves and his distribution is very handy. In a Challinor side that is a key part of the build up. I wouldn't drop him yet.

Thought a draw could have been considered a fair enough result yesterday with neither side really producing much attacking quality of clear cut chances. That being said a scrappy 1-0 win away at a side who have done well the last few seasons I will take every Tuesday.

Newport almost played themselves into trouble countless times from playing it out from the back, surprised we didnt create a clear chance from it. Our attacking play still needs work, glad that Sowerby is back playing and the defence / keeper look rock solid. Roberts didnt have to make any big saves at all.

From the early evidence Roberts is the best keeper we have had in years, not sure what went wrong at Walsall, if it was a case of being somewhere for too long but he has been immense so far (yes I have seen his errors from last season).

I dont expect Newport to be that bad each week so I am sure they will recover. As Eric mentioned above though, 5 clean sheets from 7 is a massive foundation to build from.

What is a clean sheet? Can’t remember one of them at Mansfield for ages.

Would agree with this. From our perspective we have a rather bloated squad which Flynn is having trouble distilling down to a regular starting XI. The subs who came on Azaz and Cooper should be starting. Our defence last night had no outlet in midfield hence passing sideways and / or back to Day whose distribution is poor at the best of times. Missed Upson yesterday too. Hopefully Flynn will sort it out, can't keep starting poorly due to crap selection. Same happened v Orient with Dolan trying to mark Harry Smith.

Against my better judgement I'll try and engage you rationally. How much energy do you think was spent in making that one cow? Cows need a shit-ton of land and a shit-ton of food. Either nutrient-ruch grasses or soy products, both are fertiliser and water intensive crops. The cow happily converts this into shit-tons of actual shit, which gives off methane, CO2 and other greenhouse gases, contributing significantly to global warming (I'm taking a massive leap here and assuming you actually believe global warming is a thing). Not to mention cows are more sentient than insects, although this is a more complex and murky point.
Either way, I think it's abundantly clear that a) you don't think before you speak, b) you seem incapable or perhaps unwilling to engage your critical facilities, and c) you are a tory wanker.

Not seen you pipe up much on here since you were giving it the big one before getting demolished by the Orient by the way, I sincerely hope Exeter lose every game 5-0 just so I don't have to read your poorly thought out, internet assembled 'thoughts'.

I'm not going to try and educate you on the ethics of veganism, because you're a fucking idiot and I'd get nowhere. You can read this article to try and maybe grasp some basic understanding on the non existent moral argument of it.

The CO2 argument doesn't even need fucking explaining, jesus christ. Like do you even understand how much artificial fertilisers alone produce? It's 3 fucking percent of all global emissions. Shall we continue about the tiling of fields and the greenhouses gasses that causes?

Wanna know about Avocado's? A California avocado tree in the Summer requires 209 litres A DAY in the summer. Most avocado's come from places like Spain, Mexico, California and Chile - Places that have LONG, DRY, HOT SUMMERS. It's estimated it takes around 140-272 litres of water for a single Avocado. A kilogram of mangoes requires 686 litres (150 gallons) of water while the same amount of plums needs 305 litres (67 gallons).

Shall we get into packaging and the special storage needed for fruit and veg?

Importation you say? 2.2kg of CO2/kg for avocados imported to the UK. Mangoes is 4.4kg.

I haven't just singled out Avocado's because it's 'unusual' or an 'exception', wanna talk about the energy needed for mushrooms and keeping them warm? The common button, chestnut and portobello mushrooms we buy in the shops emits 2.13-2.95kg of CO2.

It doesn't stop there, Mushrooms produce carbon dioxide as well, meaning some varieties can require CO2 levels that are up to 48 times higher than the outside air. So excessive CO2 is often exchanged with fresh air because of you vegan loving mushroom obsessed luvvies.

cultivated mushrooms produced 3kg of CO2/kg on average by the way, that's more CO2 per kg than Tuna produces to eat.

This doesn't include the compost use either by the way.

Anyway, I'm bored of trying to educate you about the issues with veganism and how bad it is for the planet. I'll let you do your own research on Mycoprotein, Cocoa, Almonds and Cashew Nuts.

Morally of the story is, Vince needs to get to fuck off Sky Sports News if all he wants to do is talk utter crap about morals, the environment and veganism.

Whilst there are definitely negative impacts on the environment for fruit and veg I'm not sure you can realistically compare against meat - beef specifically which has an unsurpassable contribution to greenhouse gas emissions also devouring more land and water and causing more environmental damage than any other single food product.

And I'm not a vegan or veggie, just think there are probably benefits to what Vince is saying.
