Cambridge are the best footballing team we've played.

Maybe their manager actually has more than one tactic!?!?!

6 games you are 4th Bradford top
8 games you are 5th Bradford top
10 games you are 10th Bradford are top
Fantasy Island time.

Ah the form table for 4 months that everyone looks at. Do your research before spouting.
Look at your own clubs form and you are probably better

We changed our keeper at that stage and our system
I can spout what the fuck i want.......last time i looked it was not a dictatorship
Despite lots of people who went to Cambridge being prosecuted for treason
What the hell does people who went to Cambridge University have to do with anything. They do not come from the city you bloody fool. Does Bolton University (probable ex polytechnic) have an advanced course in Straw Clutching.

I am mystified why Cambridge are top of the league and yet 2/1 to beat the mighty Cheltenham at home. Can anyone enlighten me to the reasoning of the bookies?

nope we are 10th about right on where we should be......Have a look at my posts from say October onwards i think i have a pretty balanced view.
A little banter pre Christmas with Devon lad and Tranmere lads. Except the one prick who is personal
The season will peter out and where we finish it wont matter in the grand theme of things......we have turned our corner and we will now begin our journey back up the football league.
As previously said on here, you are the one who gets personal every single time you are proven wrong. You just waffled on about treason. What has treason got to do with being shown to be a fantasist.

League 2 manager with more than one tactic....don't be silly.

I will say Cambridge look a good side. Oddly I thought they played better football when we beat them than when they beat us but that might just be because of the pitch.

Nice to hear Grimsby are a bit slow at the back. In Nadesan we have someone capable of catching pigeons so hitting the channels could be a good tactic for us on Tuesday.

James Tilley returns to his former club. Scored the winner against Colchester but has been used as a sub mostly. You'd expect him to start this game.

Two mediocre sides again. Lord alone knows the result but let's hope for a good game.

Unbeated at home in 2021. We were 5/2 to win at Mansfield on Saturday.
I know Cheltenham are strong away from home but 2/1 is very generous.

Edit - Bonner has just said in his press conference we will be using Hoolahan on some Tuesday's now. We only have four midweek games between now and the end of the season. Cheltenham, Scunthorpe, Bolton and Leyton Orient.

Are you referring to us as mediocre? You're in for a pleasant surprise.

We've added a bit of pace at the back with Menayese since that Cambridge match. He's not looked great, but he can run at least.

I liked Tilley, definitely think he had something but Hurst obviously didn't fancy him. Makes me think he's not quite there attitude wise, or he did something to rub him up the wrong way...or maybe Hurst just got so confused with us having about 14 of the same few types of player and just got rid of them all.

I'm really hoping that these postponements we've had the last few weeks are gonna see us have properly prepared for this and I'm really, really hoping that Morais is gonna be fit and haunting his old club. In the few games we've seen him, he's looked like our best player.

I wonder if you have any player we can cherry pick from you to play our Expansive style of Football.
The one you sent us in pre season was dropped after one game and was moved on

You may wonder but the only way your scouts seem to spot a player is if he's scored 20 goals a season. Lazy recruitment.

Gonna be a really tough game this, we looked poor against Bolton earlier in the season and deserved to lose.

We've won four in a row but it doesn't really feel like we're in good form due to the space between the first three wins and the fourth. We've also beaten four very poor sides.

This will be interesting to see where we're at against a team in form. We're due an away draw as we haven't had one for a year, would definitely take it.

Expecting a very tough game away at Carlisle. Could really do with a win after two winless home results. Can’t see it personally and reckon a draw is the most likely result.

Interesting. Have added that to my Cambridge notes.

These notes of yours sound interesting. But are we talking box files or merely pc files? You know me SOC, I always want actual things I can hold in my hands. I'm a mouldy and mildew stained paperback book over Kindle or a vinyl record over a digital file type of guy.

Another thing if you don't mind, which file is the more detailed one out of the lot? I imagine it has got to be the Cowley brothers file, or failing that, the Stags/Carolyn Radford one.

Well I tried to go digital but Russell Slade took the Grimsby laptop when he got sacked which meant all my scanning was for nothing. Probably not gonna get a new one until the new owners are in the building.

In terms of biggest box file, yes those two are both in the top five:

1) Liam Hearn vs Matt Green Case Solved: A Compendium of all the Facts, Figures and Ridiculously Incorrect Things the Mansfield Fans Said
2) The Cowley Sisters
3) Viking Magpie's Terrible Takes
4) Kenny End: Genuis Troll or Absolute Plonker?
5) Year of the Stag 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020 2021 Update (Now with Conker's secret Carolyn Radford Corfu 06 bikini pics)

We are a team in form but we have a bad 30, 15mins either side of half time......Still a team getting to know each other 5 players signed in January started last few games plus Miller and Arthur who have scored our winners of the bench the last two games have only got into the squad in the last few weeks after being injured unfit most of the season.
We may nick it or a draw wont be a gimme.

We've been dull to watch for the last few weeks, 5 without a win and 3 draws on the bounce. Which has annoyed our fans who expect us to be Man City every week.

I'm happy Ross Embleton has made us harder to beat, because this was my main criticism of him in the early part of the season. We've kept alot more clean sheets recently.

Still, he has to get the team to be braver and play James Brophy on the left wing rather than left back which limits his pacy attacking abilities.

With the form Bradford are in, I can see us bumbling to a 2-0 defeat and waking up in the final 30mins like we did on Saturday where after we scored we should really have won the game with the chances we had.

Expect us the piss around with the ball for ages at some point. Lee Angol also will likely miss the rest of the season, which was confirmed on Saturday.

On paper we should beat Southend. Wouldn't be shocked if they beat us though, they're no mugs and we have a tradition of losing at home to struggling sides. Was a very tight game at their place, reckon this will be the same.

Ricky Holmes has to start tomorrow, surprised how sharped he looked when he came on Saturday and within 5 minutes on being on the pitch looked our best player.

Haha!

I’ve told ya either Green is a better player or Basford are a bigger club than Grimsby. One or the other, choose wisely.

Just rechecking today's fixtures and noticed that many of the teams at top of table play each other.
1st v 3rd: Cambridge v Cheltenham
4th v 5th: Morecambe v Salford
9th v 6th: Carlisle v Tranmere [Carlisle with games in hand could be league leaders]
All good stuff.

I've paid to stream and watch the Cambridge match.
A win to either team would be good for FGR's promotion ambitions but I'm hoping game ends in a goalless draw.

Good to hear you're getting out of Bolton during lockdown.

well Basford must be a bigger club then us then because I've had the displeasure of watching about 30 hours of Matt Green this season and he's utter utter garbage. I'm not just saying this for the sake of this argument, but he's up there as a contender for the worst player I've seen in a Town shirt. He probably gets it for the sheer amount of hours he's clocked up in comparison to the other candidates too.
