I’m sure they do play good football compared to your park the bus rubbish under Jimmy.
We will see next time we play you - with a full squad to choose from. The bus will be in the car park only next time.

Rotherham Saturday its a game that can go either way....Big units by all account and were unlucky to be relegated on that barmy last few mins in May.
By all accounts they are direct and dont mind giving the opposition the ball.
Think this could be another game where we have 70% possession but struggle to break them down....going 3-3 lol
I can’t wait for it. Over 18000 tickets sold now. Hopefully get closer to 20k by tomorrow but it will be a great atmosphere. If we concede early it could be difficult. I’m going for a draw too.

Ipswich tomorrow, let's hope they don't quite click yet!

We'll be without McGrandles who went off injured early on against Rotherham, which is a blow but on the flip side Bishop is ok after being ill in midweek, albeit he was on the bench. Not a like for like replacement but numbers wise it balances off.

Jackson is 50/50 but we have Eyoma who can come in. Adelekun was rested in midweek because he had a short pre-season and he'll probably return.

Ipswich attacking wise were a real threat in the first half against us, especially Burns & Bonne but when they came out in the second half they were a shambles. Players bottling every single 50-50, heads down, sideways-backwards, no chemistry or patterns of play, their centre backs getting in mix ups with their keeper. We shut up shop at 5-2 and just rode the rest of the time out. Feel for their two right backs who got rinsed by Dapo... now they have to face Scully

We had sold 1550 tickets at noon today with 4 hours left before they went off sale.
What time do you need to be there to get parked up relatively close (1/2 mile ish) to the ground?

I think we have 10 or 11 players in the squad who are over 6ft but obviously they don't all play in the same game.

I would expect Johansson (gk), Wood, Ihiekwe, and maybe Bola, Barlaser and Smith will start so we have some physical presence.

With Vickers (gk), Ladapo, Kayode, Odoffin, all over 6 feet on the bench.
MacDonald is still not training so he can't help ATM.
Of course we lost Matt Crookes who was about 6ft 5in which is a shame.

Possession stats won't concern us, it's what you do with the ball up top that matters.
If we play like we did against Fleetwood, you will win easily, but if we turn up like at Lincoln, we should be getting at least a point.

Either way, I hope its a close entertaining game and may the best team win.

in all honesty i would go nowhere near the ground on matchday. The place is a bottleneck at the best of times
Park at lostock and get the train in and out.....you can get free parking in the streets around the station think the train is at 13.55 takes 3mins and cost £3 return
If you want a few scoops beforehand get to Chorley and again get the rattler in
Bolton town centre has safe secure parking.... Pubs around Churchgate are decent and cheap

I’m the opposite I just park at the ground and curse the queue out at the end. If we are getting battered I’ll leave 5 mins early to beat the traffic and if we win I don’t really mind the queue. It’s not as bad as it used to be when we got 28k attendances in the prem.

They were exactly the same against us. In absolute control for 40 mins and we had the last 5 mins of the first half. They started ok second half, but when we equalised on the hour they just capitulated.

As for us, we welcome Oxford tomorrow and they've practically sold out their 1,500 allocation. No reason why we can't win, but I'll be happy with a draw.

I don't mind sitting in the car for half an hour after the game, eating a sandwich and listening to the results.
Do you park in the club car park?
I was told maybe use St Josephs RC school?

Thanks for the advice but I go on the coach when I intend having a drink.
I just don't fancy sitting in a coach just yet.
I'm happy to wait for the heavy traffic to disperse a bit before I try to set off.

Yeah I do. There’s an away specific car park where you can pay at entry… first come first served. Not sure how long you have to queue out of that one? Maybe one of the other guys on here may know. The info’s here:

To say Appleton has picked an attacking line-up would be an understatement!

Wednesday all over that. Best we’ve played all season for the first half hour, 4-0 wouldn’t have flattered us. Then Bannan puts a penalty wide and Shrews equalise.

Hillsborough is definitely an iconic ground and that's coming from a Miller.

Having said that, apart from the South Stand which is impressive, the rest of it is in a desperate state and Leppings Lane should be bulldozed.

The North Stand was great in its day but needs an upgrade.

The Kop has not been improved since they stuck a roof over it and put seats on the original steps

You will see on Saturday that the away stand has seen a lot better days, it's rusty and the facilities are archaic.

The capacity is far too big now even if Wednesday's crowds are really good for this level.
It needs 3 sides redeveloping or they need to move.

Having said that, I don't mind going because we win there..... quite a lot,
trouble is they nearly always win at our place.
Wouldn't say the capacity, which is about 39,000 I believe,is far too big for them.
They'll clearly have ambitions to return to the top flight before too long and if they do they're likely to need that 39,000 capacity.

So far, so good at Fratton Park - it will be a challenge to hold on to this lead, Pompey will be fired up second half, but it's a much more solid formation we have selected today than last week against Lincoln, so we have a chance of staying tight.

Here is a snapshot of the offside that saw Shodipo’s goal chalked off. I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be one of them days!

Geddon. Typical away smash and grab. Clearly Wimbledon are a good side.

1-0, job done. Good start. Defence looks a lot more solid than last season.

You can see why Ipswich concede so many. Scored and then sat back all 2nd half and invites pressure. Expected better but as soon as Harper came on we ran out of ideas, sadly we didnt test them enough. Its a tough league!

Dons mate said we were the best defence they have played this season. Admittedly only eight games, but no one could say that last season.

I think we'll lose on Saturday, just got a feeling about it. Accrington is our first away game this season at a smaller ground against a big side willing to get proper down and dirty to win, if that makes sense. Can see them shithousing a 2-1 or 1-0.
Needn’t have worried, absolutely shagged em. Top of the league, thanks to Fleetwood. Glorious!

Way to break a duck, what a win. Liam O’Neil’s goal is glorious too. Great performance, and very welcome after last week’s mess.

Scott Kashket bringing back the Perry Ng levels of shithousery we all love.

I think we’ll comfortably make mid table our own once we’ve caught up with the pre-season we missed. Thomas, Kashket, Bennett and Robertson… class last minute business from Dave and Kenny.

See you next season lads.

Yeh, it's still early days but the acquisitions seem very promising and I'm feeling a tad more optimistic for the season now.

Disappointing to say the least. Plenty of possession but zero imagination once again. Deserved defeat to a determined Cambridge. We really seem to have no idea how to attack and it could be a long season.

Well patience will no doubt be a virtue then, because they've been trying to get back for 21 years
