Yes, I thought the bookies had the odds a bit wrong. It's clear that the Cowleys didn't finish the transfer window with the squad they wanted. They have no choice but to try to find something that works as an attacking force.

Not a happy crowd on Saturday. Not just the quality of football but the club have had problems with ticketing, long queues at the turnstiles, then lack of beer and food in the ground, power cuts and no hot water in the sinks. All for £24! Basically, the fans' long-awaited return to the ground has been an absolute shambles. This is crazy when you consider that we've been owned for the last five years by former Disney boss Michael Eisner.
We've had hospitality issues as have a lot of other clubs. We've not had a lack of beer but more lack of staff and rubbish food on offer and having to queue 30-40 mins for a terrible burger or expensive cup of tea. If the former Disney boss can't get it right then I believe the issues run deeper than a football club not knowing their ass from their elbow etc.

Brexit and Covid are causing major issues with food/alcohol supply and then chuck staff issues on top of that and it causes utter chaos.

It sounds a lot like us, transfer window at the end a shambles, new electronic ticket system not working properly, same crap catering, would still take Marquis back

Yes,but the Premier League has got bigger since they were last there and they'd easily average 30,000 plus if they made a good fist of it should they get back.

You're forgetting that back then tickets were cheaper, you could pay on the gate without any forward planning.
I used to go to Hillsborough with my Wednesday mate when we hadn't got a game.
Casual support was much more common in those days, prices these days, I couldn't afford to do that now.
They would get over 30000 against the teams with big support selling out the away end but averaging it over a season, I'm not so sure, times are hard.

Teams need to wake up and realise we are coming out of a pandemic and spare cash is not wildly available.
Yes you will always get main fans who will pay 25/30 a pop. We had 7/8k fans extra Saturday when we charged £10 a ticket. I would guess there was a good few who were neutral who just fancied watching a game.
The Club shop proberbly had its busiest day in 10 years and the number of pints/pies would have made more money than anytime in the last ten years.
Yes you got some season ticket holders whining that they had paid full price up front but in general it was well received and if there is 100 youngsters who want to go next game who had not been previously then it would have been well worth it.
These owners we have now are forward thinking and have the club at heart

Yes, you're absolutely right. There are the same issues all throughout the country at the moment. Unfortunately, the team also aren't performing which means that every other problem is being highlighted too.

There's been entry problems at the turnstyles every home game this season, causing delayed KOs at the Wed and Donny games.

Apparently the company that used to supply the turnstyle elrctronic reader system went bust due to the Covid epidemic.

We had to install a new system and it's been a bit of a nightmare, 3 out of 4 games they've just opened the gates and stewards just looked at the tickets.

Maybe that's whats happening at a few other clubs?

We had problems at the turnstiles at the Fleetwood game but that was because to satisfy Covid protocols, people basically had to walk the same way into the Stadium and not enter at each end and meet in the middle, in the stands. That got sorted for the next home game and all turnstiles were opened up.

Still haven't had our season tickets yet, there are delays with the suppliers although like most others you can just use your phone anyway so that's not really a biggy unless you're part of the older generation. We got posted our temporary season tickets by the Club.

Also moved from Eventbrite to Ticketmaster and that had a few teething issues but seemed to be resolved pretty quickly.

Catering is a bit hit and miss as well but, again, we're with a new company this season so that'll take a few home games to sort as it usually does.

A perfect storm of things happening at the minute so all to be expected I suppose. Anything the Club can sort, they seem to do pretty quickly so can't complain really.

First i heard of the 'controversial' winner was when i read the bbc report after the game.

I also celebrated our disallowed goal as didnt see the linesmans flag.

I either need glasses or to cut down on the alcohol intake!

If they had been given the other way would you be OK with it?
I'm not bothered either way these days after working throughout the pandemic, if we win on a Saturday bonus if we don't always next week some people aren't so lucky to go anymore.
On the two incidents both could have gone either way but the linos in front of the coop try not to be swayed by the home fans.

That's shit, no question.

I can only hope it was a decent steak pie (i.e. if it tasted like actual food. Which I doubt).

But even so. Not good.

It was actually quite nice and deep filled but even so, £7. It was also £7 for the burgers or £6.50 for the vegan burger.

I thought I was at Wembley for a moment.
