Well, really of course there's only one game worth talking about, made all the more poignant in that it will be the last one for at least a season....the MASSIVENESS that is the Gloucester derby.

Insults will be traded, blood will be spilled, entire families will be torn apart by the whirlwind of fury and emotions that the mother of all derbies arouses in the darkest passions of mankind.

On a lesser plane, Posh v Ipswich is a pretty big 'un in the promotion hunt.

Us? Well we face a mildly resurgent Cambridge scrapping for their lives, don't fancy our chances as we're all but on the beach right now.

Then it's the draw overlords, Lincoln City, at home. We're crap at breaking down defensively-minded teams so the chances of them to add to their godlike draw tally are pretty fair, I'd say.

Port Vale’s fanbase seem to fear we will put 10 past them on Tuesday. We’re flying and look unbeatable. They’re dropping through the floor.

It has all the makings of a shithouse 1-0 to them.

Either that or we score early and it is another cricket score. Which we have dealt out a couple of already this season.

It's definitely the latter.

Excellent chance for Oxford on Tuesday. We seem to have jacked it in for the season.

Gloucestershire!! Neither Cheltenham nor Forest Green are in Gloucester.

As for the game - we're going to lose aren't we. It's just what we do against FGR.

Gloucester derby...would that be Longlevens versus Tuffley Rovers?

The one thing we won’t do on Tuesday is try to scab our way to some fluky 1-0. This team is just not capable of playing that way. Even recently at Portsmouth when we were 2-0 up and the situation called for it we were still being very naive in how open we were. Add some poor discipline in the last few games where we’ve picked up four reds (having not had one previously and presumably in contention for the fair play award).

The bigger game for us is Rovers on Saturday in reality when we get Funso Ojo back. I suspect DC will throw all the eggs into that basket.

I’d rest all our key players for Saturday if I’m honest.

Even with a full squad in form we’d likely get beat Tuesday and Saturday is going to be the biggest game since the play off final now.

That said we haven’t many options, four suspended, 3 of whom are midfielders so with injuries as well we only have one senior midfielder in Pett. Likely having to bring a youth we’ve recalled from Salisbury in to cover.

We’ve got the same three centre halves available who have been conceding over 2 a game since Burton due to injury, could throw Derek in for a laugh I guess.

Ipswich have thrown massive money at it so would be embarrassing if they didn’t win the title now and they certainly will, the only downside from their free pass on Tuesday is we also have Plymouth to play so they’ve got one too.

We have largely downed tools so could be any score this, a pounding might wake some of them with some professional pride for the last games I guess.

The side that deservedly went to places like Derby and Plymouth and won is far gone sadly.

More arsed about the Oxford and Cambridge games than our own, main hope is one of them lose to keep the gap 6 points and get to Bristol Rovers intact, but can’t afford any more injuries and red cards, rest Wilson, Worrall, Smith and Ellis.

Bolton at home.
2-2 draw.
We usually put in a bad performance after a big win, so cannot see us winning - but our momentum might get us a point.

Barnsley probably have to beat us on Tuesday if they still harbour hopes of snatching a place in the autos. I'm not sure they will even with a win, though.

In theory we'll be without Rushworth, and there's s massive drop off between him and Wright in goal so it wouldn't surprise me if we appealed the red tbh because it looked a bit soft to me.

Other than that, I'm guessing we'll go with the same side that started yesterday. No real need to change anything at the minute, which is a weird feeling albeit it's come very late in the season.

Wednesday on a bad run of form, so us coming to town on the 22nd, they'll be laughing. 5-0 home win.

Fed up of this season now, get me to Malta (a) with England in June

Another cup final for us at home to Wycombe.

It’s a game we should be looking to win with Plymouth away Saturday.

I can’t see us making any changes if there are no injuries and fancy we’ll get another win.

If you’re open against us and try to out football us, I personally would think it’ll play right in our hands.

We literally spent the same money on transfers as we received for Downes and Dozzell?

I’m 100% sure you’re right on that, it won’t stop us trying it though. Nobody is crediting this Vale team with intelligence this season.

Maybe so but you’ve spent by far the most money at it so should win the league, regardless of why it’s spent.

90% of the clubs you face week in week out have a budget probably less than 1/5 of yours so of course you should win the league.

Before focusing on our cup final on Saturday, there’s nothing to get the juices flowing straight off the back of a 5-1 home thumping that sealed our relegation quite like an exciting Tuesday night fixture under the lights at home to mid table Fleetwood. Should be a cracker, I’m looking forward to it already. Maybe we can avoid conceding any more then 2 goals from set pieces this time, and maybe just maybe manage more then 3 shots in 90 minutes for a change.

Chin up mate, whatever happens its been a good season. We won't go down, and we've found some good players for next season.
I think we could take points off of Derby and Wednesday, we just need some composure in front of goal and a bit of luck. I'm actually going to enjoy Tuesday and a bit disappointed I won't be at Hillsborough (just couldn't justify that and Ipswich in consecutive weeks)

Oh yeah, I agree, it has been a decent season. Losing to that lot just puts me in a bad mood for a few days.. especially as the other half is a Plymouth girl (Not into football, luckily)

I'm the same with choosing between Wednesday (a) and Ipswich.. But I do have a game for ECFC Fans against Yeovil Fans on the Huish Park pitch at 8pm next Saturday, so can't complain too much!

Saturday. It’s all about Saturday.
Derby away. The game for me and many brewers.
Just got to sort my ticket out.
Meeting my derby mates in the boozer for 1230 and then we go out separate ways come 230.
I hope we beat them and put in a stellar performance. And why not. They seem short of confidence and we have plenty of it.
2-1 to us with the winner coming in injury time.
Headlines written.

No pressure now mate so you can go out and win. Won't be a repeat of the score against Accy that's for sure. Maybe a win for the Cods, maybe a draw and if you win good luck especially for next year. It's been a tough year for you but you can hold your head high, unfortunately the same can't be said of your team

Absolutely no chance that we'll shithouse a result....we're not capable.

The best we can hope is to keep it down to 2 or 3 and use some of our reserves so that we have a full quotation for the next 2 games.

Ipswich were the best team we have played this season, Ipswich is absolutely miles away from anywhere and they're in absolutely scintillating form....could get messy.

Looking forward the these 2 games, big tests in completely different scenarios.

We’re certainly not at the beach yet and are looking to build so form to take us into the new season. Since Easter we’ve been quite a joy to watch so hopefully we keep that up

Don’t call Saturday a cup final as well, we’ll freeze and lose 4-0

If we beat Shrewsbury tomorrow then we will go up automatically imo considering Wednesday's form and Ipswich/Barnsley to play eachother.

No chance, we cant keep a clean sheet against the likes or Accrington or Cambridge we certainly aren't here considering we have half the squad injured or banned!

Yep. Absolutely zero chance of that happening. I'd put my mortgage on it.
Cowards will probably at least put in a performance now which would anger me even more.
