TUESDAY 28TH MARCH
Exeter City v Barnsley

WEDNESDAY 29TH MARCH
Cheltenham Town v Sheffield Wednesday

SATURDAY 1ST APRIL
Barnsley v Morecambe
Charlton Athletic v Shrewsbury Town
Cheltenham Town v Burton Albion
Derby County v Ipswich Town
Fleetwood Town v Exeter City
Peterborough United v Oxford United
Port Vale v Cambridge United
Portsmouth v Forest Green Rovers
Sheffield Wednesday v Lincoln City
Wycombe Wanderers v Milton Keynes Dons

Sexy fixtures of the week:

Derby v Ipswich - promotion six-pointer
Fleetwood v Exeter - crunch fixture in the mid-table trophy
Posh v Oxford - just interested to see the result here, Posh flying and Oxford's form over the last 10 is second worst only to the hapless FGR - LLLDLLLLLD. Ouch. Would be absolute madness for a team of OUFC's budget to go down, but it remains to be seen if Manning was the right choice for a relegation dogfight.

Oh Joy, I can't wait for us to be absolutely butt-fucked by a rampant Sheffield Weds thanks to the bloody nose FGR gave them today.

Didn't Bolton come to the shire for consecutive games and go home with nothing...perhaps we have just softened them up for you to deliver a repeat performance.

Underestimate Gloucestershire teams at your peril!

I think hapless FGR needs to be updated to red hot FGR after today.

See if we can get the double on Cambridge. It was a close game at their place earlier in the season but suppose the warning signs would have been there for them when they lost to a team with Massey and Mipo up top. Generally it’s a tough watch at VP more due to the condition of the pitch than any of the teams that have played there and don’t expect any different here.

Two winnable but tough games for us, need to get some bodies back fit to give options, we chucked 2 points away at Whaddon Road last season in stoppage time and Lincoln earned a late draw at ours on their last trip.

Both sides look to be almost at the on the beach stage point of the season which hopefully offers us a chance to get back on form ahead of two sides currently in the relegation mix, Oxford and Accy, over Easter.

What before yesterday looked a huge game for us against Cambridge has with yesterdays point and other results probably become far less pressured now.

We could do with a good win here though with season ticket sales ongoing and having a sluggish second half of the season, anything less would be disappointing but expect a tough game regardless as they all are.

We’ve not had a great record against struggling sides at home, draws with FGR and Cheltenham, loss against Burton all be it wins against Morecambe and MKD.

Whilst we now have a situation where we have four decent strikers available and often swap Harrison and Taylor for Wilson and Proctor after 70 minutes we are light on defenders, positively sounds like Forrester should be back and a huge boost with Garrity also set to return, despite being a midfielder we always haemorrhage goals when he is out (5 in 2 shows that again).

If we can keep scoring like we have the last two finally but tighten it with the return of Garrity and Forrester then we should be confident of a result but as any Valiant will tell you if any side needs a lift visit the Vale!

Bigger clubs than OUFC have gone down. Swindon are one for instance

Oxford have been down to non league so would hardly be a fallen giant in fairness.

Anyone who goes down is in for a tough time next season too with the sides in there and likely to be coming up.

Huge game? You’d have been seven points clear of the drop even if results had gone against you yesterday, hardly “huge”. So melodramatic!

Anyway, I’ll be amazed if we put up any fight at all. We pretty much have to win every game now and we’ve won four of the last 30 so pretty hopeless situation.

Bolton have been there twice and early 90’s Burnley were down there too, indeed the latter nearly got relegated from there. That said the OP was talking about their budget which is different to their relative size.

I agree, maybe complacency on my part but we’ve never even felt close to the dogfight. Not least as part of it would involved the bottom four ever closing the gap which never happened even when we were losing and down to the bare bones. Would be great if you stayed up as I did enjoy going to the Abbey Stadium earlier this season but it just looks too much to do now.

We’ve won what 2 in 14 now? So had it got to 7 points that’s our best chance on paper for 3 so would have been a big game to avoid any nervous ending to the season potentially.

As it is now 45 should be enough as the run in and games running out don’t look positive for Accrington or Morecambe.

That said I want to pass the 50 plus point marker. Would be poor to stay up with less points than we got relegated with last time!

Our winning run will come to a grinding halt agaisnt Wycombe. Mind you, if FGR can kick Wednesday in the nuts, who knows. :fl:

Hoping for one of the two in the automatics race to drop points in midweek and then us to go to Derby and win. Be a sellout I’d imagine and I’m looking forward to the trip. Last time I went we lost if I remember rightly but I’d be more confident this weekend if we play how we have been of late. Very tough game though on paper.

I would absolutely never take this for granted, I believe Kaikai has been doing well for you and may feel that he has a point to prove (although it was Ainsworth that never really played him, who's obviously now left, so it's not like Kaikai can ram those decisions down Ainsworth's throat).

If Soccerbase is correct then Anthony Stewart's never actually played for you yet but if he does, he's also a proven goal threat from set pieces, so there's that.

Plus we have a fair old injury list at the moment, and are missing having a target man up front with the absence of Vokes - against Charlton we couldn't hold the ball up and wouldn't have scored were it not for a set piece.

No game should ever be seen as a foregone conclusion in any case, but particularly any Wycombe fan who might think that this game is in the bag (given the relative positions of the two sides) needs a good hard slap.

The best way to set up against us is to stick 10 men behind the goal and hit us on the break, I would guess you'd come for the draw initially, but if you can get yourselves in front then you could still hit us on the counter for a win.

They've only beaten Cambridge, Accrington and Morecambe tbh.

Can't believe MK dons have picked up. They were a new level of gash when they played us.
Beaten the teams they had two, all below them at the time, probably does have them almost safe now mind.
