Soft as fuck red that but you run the risk by sticking your hand in and around the face of the oppo, pushes him in the chest and it’s a yellow, part shite reffing, part shit for brains from MSH.

Think a draw would have been a fair result in our game, but we’ve only ourselves to blame for a carbon copy of the Barrow winner last week. Can’t believe how thick some of our players are tbh, just take a point away from home in injury time, so naive. We were rushing goal kicks in injury time like we were already behind, not one club will do the same at VP this season. We haven’t had a team that could take the sting out of a game and do the dirty stuff well since Parky and it shows. We are to much of a soft touch, until that changes we won’t get anywhere. As for the actual game and performance I can’t be bothered to go into detail just another stale league 2 game.

You've sowed a seed if an assistant referee wants to make a poor decison.

But it's just never a red card is it? They happen all the time. I would not expect that if the shoe was on the other foot. Nobody appealed.

The official telling our coaches he was sent off for an elbow is a piss take which shows they got it wrong. If they stick to that story, it gets overturned.

Never a red card in a million years. Unbelievable that gets a red yet the tackle which left one of our players with a double leg break only got a yellow. Refs at this level are shocking.

Watching the highlights back on our game. Lee Angol...one of my favourite players last year but probably my least favourite this year. His performance summed up by one of the worst dives I've seen. He was on a yellow and should have been sent off. A shame Jake Young had a stinker last night because I wouldn't want Angol anywhere near the starting eleven at the moment.

I just read this is the worst start to a season we have had in over a century in the FL. That, combined with the record this calendar year surely mean he HAS to go.

His interview last night was insulting, suggesting we were competitive? Our first shot was in the 70th minute.

His win percentage is just 24% I believe. 12 league wins from 50, disgraceful.

The board need to act, and fast. If we go down to non-league, I truly believe we would get stuck there for a long time, I even fear we would never come back.

If you think the refs are bad here be very thankful you’ve never been in the National League, they go to a whole new level of shite.
One of the worst was the one for our play off game at Wrexham, in that game there were 5 or 6 big calls and he got every single one of them wrong.
Then his reward for being so shit was that he gets promoted into this league, the assessors must never actually watch any games.

I also didn’t think the Stockport Southam-Hales incident deserved a red card, but make any move towards an opponents face and you give the officials a decision to make.

Nobody takes you seriously or gives a toss about the shite you spout, just give it up you melt.

I don't care and I wouldn't have to spout anything if your shitty fucking tinpot club would not waste my time.

Invest in some basic modern standards or fuck off back down and stay down.

I find it's more how well run you are as a club as opposed to the size that gets you up. Our, and at a guess Sutton's as well, promotion seasons came out of nowhere really but we had a good manager who recruited well. It's the off field decision making that determines whether you will make a success of it.

Anyway, still 42 games to go, I wouldn't be worrying about that until Christmas time at the earliest.

Funnily enough, despite Carver’s criticism, our manager Paul Simpson was quick to praise the standard of Grimsby’s pitch after last nights abandonment.

2nd away game in a row we’ve paid the price for not sticking chances away. Thought Crewe looked like a relegation candidate in all honesty but can’t judge these things on one look. They might be grateful for 9 point start come the end of the season. Obviously we need to start scoring goals to avoid being sucked into a long season ourselves but our performances suggest we should be ok.

Definitely we’re well run and improving off the field. But only the manager has been the difference between pottering around in mid table National League and where are are now. When we lose him it will be a massive test for us.

I’m sorry but the voice of reason Carver has already spoken making your managers comments irrelevant.

It must do you decent Carlisle posters heads in having an absolute brain dead tosser like him on here spouting bollocks representing your club.

What was your game postponed for last night, SOC? Waterlogged? Cba reading the thread.
Yes mate. Torrential downpours in Cleethorpes and water just sitting on the pitch. Think it was just one of those when it was coming down too fast and for too long. New pitch though, so perhaps the drainage does need some work but as has been said further up, the pitch has had plenty of praise so far.

I'm really not sure I would tbh pal re: roles reversed, it was a nothing incident lets be honest. It's not a red card in my book. I'd be really surprised if we benefitted from one of those decisions.

I didn't criticise your ground, it was another poster. I thought it was smart, just by its nature a bit too big for you. I thought some of your older players who have played at higher levels like Clayton and Tomlin really showed their quality. Was it Tomlin who had the shot that hit the bar. That looked some voodoo shit to keep that out. Looked in all the way and then even when it hit the bar, it's trajectory looked a bar and in situation. Couldn't believe it when it bounced out. No complaints that you won after we went to 10 men. Only complaint is the red was soft (in my opinion) and obviously changed the course the game was going in.
Having Clayton, Rowe and Tomlin does help because it’s a very young squad otherwise. Tomlin was superb last night, hit both post and bar, not sure how he didn’t score, shots hitting your keeper without him having a clue about it plus the good saves he made, it could have been a far bigger margin but you defended well. The red card obviously changed the game but up to that point there wasn’t much in it.

Just saw you got a full 90 out of Tomlin too. Did he slow down towards the end of the match at all or was he going for it all the way through? He'll be some signing if you can get him purring consistently.

Never stopped it was him who put Agard through on the counter to score in the 92nd minute

No I agree with that. As I said, really no complaints that at 11 vs 10 you did deserve to win the match. You did more than enough. Our goal led a very charmed life and we only drew level with an out of the blue counter attack when you were cold at the start of the second half.

My complaint is the red card. I'm really not one for always having a go at the officials. But it spoilt the game. But it's done now.

It is, I think we can all agree that the standard of refereeing is on the whole shite, you just have to hope that you get as many decisions going for you as they do against.

I concur with that statement. Even 3 seasons and into a forth one later I still have visions of the standard of officiating in the VNL. Having said that several of the clowns we had in our time down there we are now getting in the FL (Backhouse, Wright and Coggins to mention just three).

Not exactly rained much before though has it?

Bad drainage problems at Mansfield in the past but after quite a lot of investment it’s looking like that’s gone now, so if it is indeed bad drainage it’s probably going to cost a whack to sort out.

You calling hellogregory a decent poster? LOL

He said we were going to go part time last season or the one before and we're apparently going down every season, he's by far the most over the top pessimistic poster online, of any club.

He's the sort of fan who really wants his club to fail.

A view about the other side. Some of their chavs thought it was OK to sing “Ryan’s in a box” tonight. Utter scum.
There is proof now apparently lucky there was no one of any consequence there last night or the morons chanting this wouldnt think it was so funny absolute disgrace the lad was 22.

If I may add my tuppenceworth on Uppercutgate. Rowe's getting in MSH's face, MSH shoves him away, yes it's poor discipline but that's not a red. And no, I wouldn't call it a red if it was the other way around, or involving two other teams, because then you'd have to have multiple reds in every match, particularly at corners. Reds are becoming a nasty problem for the team, it's summat like 4 in the last 11 league games now. Aparently under Gannon we went nearly three years without a red card, so it's definitely a change in culture.

But all of that discussion is distracting from a poor performance. Yes, County went down to 10 men, but it ended up feeling like we were down to 8 or 9 we were that poor. It's baffling that we chose to take Croasdale off shortly after, the main controlling presence in our midfield, but still left two forwards on that nobody could get the ball to - Madden ended up effectively becoming the makeshift RWB, and it took 50 minutes until we brought Newby/Crankshaw on to sort out the right flank getting massively overloaded.

Red cards happen (as said, frustratingly too often for this side), you've got to have a plan B for when they do, and County looked like we had no plan whatsoever. That's my source of frustration, no the decision.

Oh, and every pillock who thinks County fans are having some sort of culture shock can go and boil their head, as well as anyone that warned us that this division would be a big step up in standard. With the exception of the first half from Barrow (managed by a certain Pete Wild), I've yet to see opposition that would've been a solid top 7 team in last year's NL. Our dreadful start is down to confused selections and general regression; I'm absolutely confident in saying the way we were playing last winter would have gotten at least 10 points from these opening four games.
