He’d be a fool if he didn’t address his faults at BRovers and just repeated them with us.

Maybe the general set up there wasn’t ideal for him.

Can only judge how he does here. Get Norwood plus 1 more and we’re done!

Looking at the last few managers at Rovers who have all struggled you might be right. Yeah I agree, give him time to see what he can achieve with Chorley's players.

There seems a lot of unrest around BRovers at the moment - not just the Barton stuff. The club and the supporters club have fallen out, Barton’s No. 2 has walked, couple of players want out.

Maybe not an ideal environment for any manager right now.

I know it's early doors but have been to both home games and have been pleased with the way they have been organised and have stuck to the system. The management team have done bloody well to achieve this in such a short time. Most managers have had crap previous appointments let's hope he will prove the miserable Gasheads wrong.

I thought the number 2 had left due to personal reasons. Only a couple of players wanting out? Par for the course.
I hope they are in chaos on Saturday, but not too hopeful

The thing is that Tisdale and Barton got nothing from Garners side.
Garner went into the season with Hanlan who isn't a striker and 2 rookies who had never played a league match between them (Daly and Ayunga).
Tisdale should have got a striker in Jan, didn't, and here we are.
He sounds like an intelligent guy though, so you would think he would learn from his rookie mistakes and that striker thing was the biggest one.

Personal reasons can cover a lot of things... it's possible the personal reasons are that he's sick of Barton's bullshit, or at least doesn't want to end up with the tag of 'Joey Barton's assistant' should Barton's managerial career end in ignomy.

Hill seemed like a decent bloke when playing for us so seemed odd for him to attach his career to Barton. Not sure what sort of history they have together other than Barton briefly playing for QPR and them both being from Merseyside.

EDIT: OK, checking their career histories, they were both from the same town in Merseyside, Barton's career at QPR was longer than I remembered (I only remember him getting sent off as Man City overturned a lead in the Agueroooo game) but he was there for a few years actually... also they crossed paths briefly at Rangers.

Well we caused a bit of chaos for Oldham in the first half on Tuesday, hopefully we can extend that further into the 90 mins and we will should be fine.
We never do well at your place though. I know it shouldn't mean anything but you always get those bogey grounds. In fact, apart from 2012 i think you'd have to go back to the 80s since the last time we won there in the league. awful

I think in hindsight we gave Garner too much freedom to do what he wants, and he had absolutely no idea what to do tbh.

Sounds worse than it is tbh. The Barton stuff is pretty big, of course.

But Clint Hill and him are mates so I do believe it was actually a family emergency/reason. The SC fell out as soon as the owner came in and wouldn’t tell them what’s going on anymore, so it’s nothing new. They also ironically don’t represent the actual fans as most fans are actually behind the club/owner, not the corrupt SC. Should be disbanded and started again soon.

Players wanting out is usual after relegation. Hanlan is one, he had a 30% drop in salary and Lincoln have had a bit rejected, only natural tbh

Some of our supporters moan about anything. We beat Solihull Moors 9-0 during our time in the NL and i heard somebody complaining about us having a penalty saved as we were leaving the ground. Every club has them unfortunately.
I well remember that game. I think much of the penalty miss moaning was because it was Cole Stockton that missed and a lot of our fans didn`t need an excuse to moan about him even though he did get a first half hat trick in that game. The really funny thing was that Solihull fans actually voted their keeper MOTM despite letting in nine and to be honest I could see their point because without some of his good saves it could have been 15 nil. It was quite possibly the most bizarre afternoon, especially the second half, I`ve ever witnessed at Prenton Park

I saw us beat AP Leamington 9-0 in the FA Cup in the 80s when one of their players scored a superb diving header OG from about 20 yards. Two 9-0 wins in my time and now we can't score 2 in a game. Gotta love being a lower league club supporter.
