Team at top of league table [FGR] verses team at top of current form table [Mansfield].
Under normal circumstances this game would be a sell out but being on a Tuesday at TNL, perhaps not.

Easy to over-dramastise these sort of games and say they are must win etc. With that said after getting thoroughly outplayed in every aspect yesterday I am expecting a big response from the team. Salford will miss Asante after his red card and we'll be obviously be missing our psycho keeper.

Huge game and must win, 4 defeats in 6 isn’t great form and we have a tough trip to Orient next weekend.

I read they like to shithouse and do the dark arts a lot? So going to have to keep our heads and expect after a massive bollocking anything less than a huge reaction to yesterdays non performance and I will be very worried indeed.

Colchester provided tough opposition in our recent Pizza Cup match, and I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s another tough game.

We’ve not played amazingly well in a while, but we’re still getting results.

A point would be a good result on tuesday ,but on our run it would be daft to underestimate the desire and togetherness of this stags side so i just cannot see us losing

A few dirty challenges on us yesterday, including the red obviously. But I’m not sure they’re any different to a lot of clubs at this level play for a point away and if they get ahead from someone slipping like us then all the better. They wasted time from minute one really and the only time they were quick with anything was when we finally got ahead. But I’ve seen enough of Bowyer in action it’s typical of him to play for a point from minute one away from home.

Horrible, horrible club. Keep an eye out for Matty Lund, who's more of a third rate thug than a footballer. Should have been sent off within ten minutes yesterday. Their keeper is an absolute prat too. Any of your players breathe on him and he'll go down like he's taken a sledgehammer to the pork-purse. I know you're not in great form but you should be winning this comfortably. I reckon you'll score a goal for every Salford fan in attendance: 2-0 Vale.

Didn't he go through Matty Palmer a couple of seasons ago when playing for Scunthorpe? I actually rated him when he was here - a goal scoring midfielder, something we’re currently lacking.

I can't remember that far back. I watched him against Chesterfield in the cup in December (I think!) and he could have been sent off twice.

if Stevenage, and Colchester both win it looks very bleak for Oldham and Scunny...

Well done Bradford on your win yesterday, and a belated thanks to all the other clubs that have beat $al£ord this season. Just like I don't want the NL clubs to allow Bwood to come up same goes for the L2 clubs in their attempt to stop the Classless of 92 from ever reaching the third tier of English football. So good luck Port Vale and I hope you smash 'em.

Should the unthinkable happen and Salford make it to L1 :shut: it would be hilarious to see them lot trying to accommodate the large away followings that the big L1 clubs would take to the Peni insular 'Stadium'.

Would snap your hand off for a point on Tuesday but given our form hopefully we can go and get a win.

Forest Green fans what's parking like? Driving down to this one after work.

On a Tuesday night parking should be fine, either in the school car park or on the streets near the ground.

(There probably won't be any bar facilities for you, unfortunately however, unless we're expecting a particularly low attendance, either overall or of away fans, in which case you'd be let in the Green Man. Only Barrow and Colchester fans have been allowed in this season, and you'd probably bring substantially more than either of them. I wish we'd sort this out, our provision for away fans is shit)

I'd not like to call this one. Mansfield are finally living up to their potential, and we've been slightly rusty lately, and are still generally better away than at home. Should be a cracker of a match though, I'd expect you to make the playoffs at least come season's end.

Yep, we're not exactly in a false position but we're really not quite as good as the table suggests and always have a chance of blowing it completely, though with Dokes finally getting back to form and our luck with injuries/Covid (touch wood) we're in decent nick for this.

We obviously don’t lose often, but when we do it’s against clinical sides, as we often start slowly and rely on our keeper making at least one great early save or opposition missing chances. After that we tend to come on pretty strong although we do give up a few chances.

One things for sure, we’re gonna need to play a lot better then in our last couple of home games as Mansfield really do seem to be the dogs bollocks atm. Would take a point.

Absolute must win game for us if we want to keep our cushion above the drop zone.

It’s must win simply because our upcoming fixtures look horrendous, starting with Forest Green away on Saturday, then we have the likes of Sutton and Swindon not too far ahead so plenty of defeats to take.

So yeah vital game, but Hartlepool will be thinking an away game against one of if not the worst team in the football league is the perfect chance for 3 points.

Thing is Mansfield are actually pretty wasteful and also love a defensive howler, not sure how we’ve gone on this run thinking about it:lol:

Just come across this set of FGR v Mansfield stats.
On paper it looks good for FGR with Mansfield languishing near base on away table. BUT with so many home games in hand they could zoom up that table.
So still not over optimistic for home win.

Mansfield have won two out of their three last away games, plus cup wins at Sunderland and Doncaster.

so four out of five away wins, only game lost was at Sutton.

All depends how the players are after getting mugged at Bristol. It's entirely their own fault, for all the decent football we simply aren't putting chances away. And that's why our away record is W1 D1 L10.

Carlisle will be desperate to beat us and we absolutely cannot afford to lose this one.

Nah it'll be an easy win against one of, if not the worst team in the football league, the same team currently 3rd in the form table.

Play two strikers from the start and stick that behemoth of a CB in.

This team is more than capable enough to string together 3 or 4 wins on the bounce, as demonstrated this season and last. We really need to come out the blocks from the first whistle tomorrow night though else the crowd will grow really agitated.

I was going to advocate us changing to a 3-4-3 for this game and starting with Politic on the left but obviously events have taken over from that.

Really want to see some urgency from the start tomorrow. It starts with the captain also, Conlon is the best midfielder in the division for my money but it’s time he starts taking control of the game again as he hasn’t been quite at it since Bristol Rovers away. I think we’ll win though 3-1, I reckon Wilson will be fired up to prove a point to them.

Conlon might have picked up a niggly injury when he threw himself onto the floor to get Finley sent off

Doubt it because he delivered a peach of a ball a few minutes later for our first!

Maybe he was one of the ones who had covid.

If we don’t want to drop right into the danger we simply have to win this.

However, one away win all season and the fact we simply can not score does not bode well. When you take into account two of our more creative players in Burey and Daly have both recently been recalled to their parent clubs, and Carlisles little resurgence in form post the new year, I’m seriously worried about this one.
