You go? I had to turn the comms off at Half Time, sounded dreadful.
Not tonight but had it streamed. 90 mins I won’t get back.

Yet another game were we offered absolutely nothing going forward. Half chance for Carver that he snatched wide, and an effort from Ferguson that came off the bar.

Really needed a win tonight, but the biggest concern is another blank in front of goal.

Hoping for a big two weeks left in the transfer window.

Awful defeat against a god awful Salford side. Season over now for us that. They had one change took it and we just didn’t manage to get much then.

Need to try and stay up now

First half should have been out of sight but then came a complete catalogue of errors leading to their goal starting with Brad Walker inexplicably kicking the ball behind for a corner from about the halfway line. Second half we just seemed very disjointed and I'm not sure why.

In retrospect shouldn't have bothered to fix the goalpost.

Decent defensively, very little edge going forwards, and you could probably say that of Hartlepool too... Still, if we're going to clean sheet our way to safety then it's an acceptable result. Decent chances for both teams actually but no real concerted pressure in either direction.

HG will be along in a minute to say that the result was the final nail in our coffin and there's no coming back to survive given the position we find ourselves in.

Game off, we absolutely battered them in them 3 minutes too
Have to take your word for that...I sit in the Main Stand and couldn't see much of what happened as it was on the other side of the pitch. I couldn't see either corner flag on the other side of the pitch...or the terrace where the Mansfield fans were...frustrating to have the game called off but not really much else the ref could have done.

Seems your manager is making you hard to beat and to be fair looks like he's doing a good job to me. That's pretty much the formula we used to drag ourselves clear last season and it's the right strategy, nobody gets style points.

Our good little spell of results is well and truly gone now.

Tonight we showed exactly why we are one of the worst teams in the league and on that showing we won’t be winning many more games.

Terrible performance from a terrible football team. Made worse by the bizarre decision to put Jon Mellish back into midfield where he’d been shite all season. A team with a bit more quality in the final third would have annihilated us there.

Another good result for one of the form teams in the league in Carlisle, perhaps a second half of the season play-off push for them?

I blame Huntsman for putting the kibosh on Crawley :gmc:

We've been on a good run but we are suffering from injuries still...our new signings out for four weeks, centre half for three more...as we get some back others get hurt. I dont think I've seen a season like this .

Still get my revenge v Tranmere Saturday.

We didn’t play that badly tonight.
Lots of energy and endeavour, very little quality though.
I’ve not completely given up hope of the playoffs, but it does feel like the wheels have come off.
We need a scrappy draw or a clean sheet, something positive.
I’m sure social media is in meltdown , 4 defeats on the spin, the process , Clarke’s team and all that, but there is plenty of time to turn this around.
Where were Bolton at this time last year?

There was enough tonight to take in to future games if looking beyond some of the apocalyptic stuff will be seeing. Hussey looked a decent player to me tonight and some of his deliveries into the box were excellent, Hall did well as well and it's just a shame he had to go off.

Quite how the referee didn't give the penalty for the trip on Worrall at the end I don't know, that was a stonewaller, I don't want to sound like I'm blaming the referee for the defeat but he can't really be missing clear as day ones like that. The question I am wondering with this team is can we grind out those ugly games? The teams who can do that are the ones who go up and right now we just look like each game there is a moment of stupidity or lack of concentration just around the corner. More than fixable and I'm certainly not panicking but these things can snowball if not addressed quickly.

After 23 games played, we were 17th with 28 points. As you’ll be well aware anything is possible in this league, weird results happen all the time and form can swing very suddenly.

You’ve got 1 or 2 games in hand on all the teams above you, win 2/3 games in a row and you’ll be right up there knocking on the door of the automatics. You’ve got a good squad and a good manager, a lot of the season still to played so it’s definitely not over for you lot.

It’s just so frustrating especially against a side like Salford, they had absolutely nothing to offer on the night and we’ve gone to sleep on a second phase. Otherwise they’ve not threatened at all and we’re probably as bad a side we’ve had down Vale bar Colchester.

If you can’t beat them tonight it’s going to be hard to see how we can challenge.

Injuries mounting again as well, looks like Conlon could need an operation, Hall has had to go off and we’ve released all our back up midfield options so down to the bones a bit.

Looks like we tried for Politic but weren’t prepared to break the wage structure DC is adamant on as well.

All in all a desperately bad few days all round. Can’t see anything against Orient positive for us so got to think Scunthorpe is massive.

Penalty decision was a joke but it’s been how long since we last had one? Bradford last April I think! Seen the replay and it’s a shocker.

1 minute 20 seconds into the post match interview on YouTube, your thick manager said “damp squid” yet again. Definitely heard a competent manager with an IQ in double digits say it a few weeks ago and has adopted it, bless him.

Just checked the table, geniuinely shocked to see you’re 2 places outside the playoffs, I thought you’d be about 3rd. Considering you won the league in November I thought you’d be joining us in league 1 next season.

Before all the trolls got involved, Crewe will stay up.

Gone from "the worst team in the league" to "one of the worst teams in the league" - that's progress at least.

Probably need 45 to stay up so that's one more ticked off. 16 left. 20 to be comfortable.

'The Alex' definitely paid a tenner to watch the Vale game last night.

He was probably there he is that obsessed with the Vale… at least he’d have seen a side with a 40% win rate against League One opposition this season.

As disappointing as we were last night, I suppose with our atrocious away record a point and a clean sheet is a start, still far from convinced with these two in charge, DC was always going to be tough act to follow but they've really not shown us anything to convince me they know what they're doing.

I’m not overly convinced either, however you can only piss with the cock you’ve got.

This squad simply isn’t good or deep enough. Raj needs to invest some of this money that was allegedly held back from DC. So far in January the squads only got smaller.

I agree although they need to be given to the end of the season, with their players brought in before we can really judge. Lee comes across a good bloke but he talks like a fan at the game. I wish him no ill but I doubt he's the calibre we need.

It's a shame we have no ambition at all and are run that poorly. Look at Sutton tearing it up. We should be using that momentum but that's all gone now. Anything good departed with DC.

We'll get a couple of local u23 players on deadline day and that's all I can see happening. Would be happy and glad to be proven wrong mind.

Also a very fair point, we've got 12 days to bring some much needed quality in or Raj and Bevington and their withheld funds are going to look pretty foolish.

I don't even think we need that much, personally I'd like to see a rough arse forward and an attack minded centre mid, a decent keeper wouldn't go amiss but I think we might have to wait till the summer for that one.

I don't think we need loads either to avoid relegation. One positive thing you can say about Lee is his impact on Odusina. He was outstanding at Bristol and I hear he was good last night. I think we're fine for defenders/keeper until the summer.

It's midfield and upfront we're not good enough. That midfield gets overrun at times in L2, we need a more physical presence in there as well as an attack minded one. Needs a rejig.

I'd be looking to change formation as the 532 is seriously predictable. It's only the wing backs creating chances but if you go 4 at the back I think we'd be weaker defensively and in midfield with the options we have. Lots of things to ponder. Just stay the fuck up this season, before then add a couple of proper signings Lee wants and take it from there.

A forward needs to be priority, in whatever shape and size he comes, as long as they know where the back of the net is. It’s ridiculous how little we offer going forward. The biggest attacking threat is probably our left back.
