Crawley truly are an enigma aren't they? I know that anyone can beat anyone in this league and anybody that can get a 4 or 5 team L2 acca spot on deserves my utmost respect, but Crawley are what I call a special case. In short, I think I would go mad if I were a Crawley fan.

Re. our game, it's going to be a tough one that's for sure. The O's are well in the play off mix and I don't think they would settle for a draw, and this could make things interesting as we're very good at soaking up pressure.

And of course, the U's v the O's is a local derby......:shifty:

I've figured Cawley out. Bunch of Prima Donna's who only turn up for the big matches.

If only it were that simple. We sometimes turn up for half hour in a game (Mansfield), drink Horlicks at half time (Morecambe away) of completely fail to show (Oldham at home).

I just wish I could figure out which game was which so I could save some money on iFollow .

Never really do well in South Wales. I'm predicting Horlicks at half time.

See Ian Evatt is moaning that every team apart from his own in this division has a long throw taker.
He basically said we are shit at set pieces (which we are) and it’s something we have to improve on quickly. Wasn’t moaning about everyone having a long thrower. Was just saying we need to improve all of our set pieces because that’s what’s let us down this season. Which it has to be fair. We had pretty much conceded the most set pieces of any team first half of the season and scored the least. Which is a recipe for disaster.

Your local paper
I genuinely think you’ll beat us tomorrow btw. Think we have joined the ‘bottle brigade’ around us. We were outplayed and outfought on Saturday and Carlisle are direct and fantastic at set pieces which we are shit at dealing with.

If I go in thinking we might lose the psychological outcome can only be positive. We lose and I was right. We win and I don’t care I was wrong...

'Every team in this league is strong from set pieces and every team has a long throw, probably barring us.'
You average a goal every other game from a set piece. Amongst the highest in the league. We average a goal from a set piece every 5 games.... it’s been costing us all season

We don't have a long throw. well, we have someone who tries a long throw but it just doesn't go very long. In fact it has all the feeling and attributes of a long throw but it just goes erm........ short.
Maybe it's a tactic?
Anyway, Evatt will be pleased next Saturday mitigated by the realisation that he was talking bollocks about every team having a long throw.

Big chance to get another win on the bounce tomorrow which would be fantastic, slightly unexpected result on saturday and the win at scunthorpe at the time was massive on boxing day.

I’m sure scunny will be thinking the same - hoping to get to 50 points tomorrow and also be mathematically safe

We don’t have a long throw and must be one of the lowest scoring teams in the league from a set piece.

Evatt wasn't bemoaning the long throw tactic when he had Dan Jones doing exactly that for us...

We've got to keep winning, with everyone around us having a game in hand at least one more win is vital this week.

Cambridge appear to be a side which don't give up easily, will be interesting to see if they sit back against us. The only side who haven't done that against us for a number of months at home against us was Oldham and it was actually quite a good watch.

We'll have to probably put in a near faultless performance against the league leaders, away at Cheltenham a few weeks ago we fell far too short.

Does anyone know the cutoff point in terms of distance that makes a throw in either long or short?
