I would suggest throwing the ball as far as the six yard box is a long throw.
Right, so if it doesn’t quite reach the 6 yard box it’s a short throw? Well a lot of our apparent long throws are not that then. Trade descriptions act stuff this.

Regards long throws what Leon Legge does I’m not even sure that qualifies as a long throw as it barely makes it to the penalty area though believe he used to be able get some distance on it earlier in his career.

Obviously Tozer has a huge throw though we defended that quite easily, it was open play they hurt us. Harrogate also had someone who could launch it though was a windy day so not sure if that’s regular with them and Carlisle had a pretty ineffective one on Saturday. Other than that can’t think of any other teams who really use it.

Yeah we've kinda stopped taking long throws recently, though with Kayode back from injury we were gonna give it a go, it seemed as though it was no longer really part of our game plan

Oh how I'd love to be at Brisbane Road tonight. It's one of the best away days for us each year and, with the amount riding on tonight's game, it would be electric. I'm confident we'd have one of our biggest away followings in years (Man U away aside) if fans were allowed to go.

As it is we'll be relying on the fun of ifollow and Mark & Doug, plus the nervousness that brings. Again, I'd be delighted with a draw.

Another huge game tonight against orient which should be a good game due to both sides needing a win, Tuesdays have usually brought very mixed results and I’m not even going to try and predict tonight’s game.

One thing for sure is that my nerves are getting worse the closer we’re getting, just hoping and praying we don’t fuck it up with 4 to go!

Would have liked to have been at Brisbane road tonight but sitting at home watching instead is a small consolation.

Looking forward to tonights game in the sense I can relax and enjoy it now we are safe rather than on edge of the past few weeks!

Hoping for the unbeaten run to keep going.

We need at least a point tonight to keep our very, very faint play off hopes alive (would need to win the final 3 games).
Cambridge have been up there all season so clearly a quality outfit, it was also the last away day I attended, cracking 2-3 win for the Os.
If we actually show up, and hoolahan doesn't play, we've definitely got a chance, still don't fancy us to win away at the league leaders though - we've routinely fell slightly short against the top 7 so far this season.
Fair play cambridge, proper old school side like us who have felt the sting of non league, would much rather they go up than some tinpot side like morecambe or forest green.

We’ve been desperately clinging on for weeks now but in a few hours there’s every chance we could be practically down.

Win and Colchester fail to win and we’ve got a proper chance.

This is a must win game for us if we want to hang on to a playoff spot, but the chances of that happening are disappearing down the pan at a rate of knotts, so only 3 points will do tonight seeing as we have exeter away next up and i dont hold much hope of getting anything there and cheltenham at home the following week again not much hope there either.

I genuinely think you’ll beat us tomorrow btw. Think we have joined the ‘bottle brigade’ around us. We were outplayed and outfought on Saturday and Carlisle are direct and fantastic at set pieces which we are shit at dealing with.
It's not defending set pieces that's the problem, you do remember we had 11 wins in our unbeaten run and i think 8 had a clean sheet, now at the other end we have witnesed the worst set piece score rate in our entire history, we never look like scoring any set piece and a corner is just a waste of a ball these days. The only goal i can remember from a corner was a shot by Doyle at the near post at home in our very bad early season days.

I checked our Football League record at Stevenage yesterday - it's bloody depressing.

Played 5 - lost 5.

Scored - 3
Conceded - 17!!!
Our record at Stevenage was similar before this season we’d played there 4 times and lost the lot before gaining a wonderful 0-0 draw there this season despite getting battered for the whole game under honest Ollie.

It's not though is it. Not every team apart from Bolton. He just sounds bitter and delusional.
He seems like a Manager who is constantly on the defensive and talking shite, I heard that he said about our game that after we went 1-0 up Bolton took control of the game and he made it sound like we were lucky, despite his goalkeeper having one of the busiest games he’s had for Months and us missing countless chances.
And I know Bolton also had some great chances too but he seems like he’s always making out his team are hard done to when it is just not the case, as we really should have won by more than just the one goal on Saturday.

We conceded at least 2 if not 3 goals against them from set pieces in the return fixture inside the first half an hour. We had conceded the most from set pieces in the league this season before this run and we looked awful at the weekend against 2 physical front men. That’s more what I meant. Carlisle are very direct and create a lot of chances. They aren’t the best defensively so I think we will create chances. I really hope I’m wrong and we see a big reaction but if we defend and finish like we did on Saturday we won’t win.

Next season set pieces has to be a priority. As you say we waste virtually all of them. We could easily add 10 plus goals a season with a better delivery and more work on it.

Wonder if we'll score tonight
I would presume that it has to be pretty much an all out attack from you tonight, if you don’t win then that is surely you done?

Just looking at the permuations.

So if Colchester win tonight then that's Southend all but down, they'd have to win all three of their remaining games, hope Colchester lose theirs and also turn over at least twelve goal difference. if Grimsby lose they'll still have four games to go and at most ten points to make up so won't be down... yet. A Southend win will put them three points behind Colchester and Grimsby could also close the gap to make for a tense few weeks.

If Barrow win tonight and Southend fail to win then they're mathematically safe. Scunthorpe have a similar situation whereas Mansfield and Walsall will be mathematically safe provided Southend don't better their results.

The top remains tight with anyone down to FGR looking capable of gaining automatic promotion.

The mid-table cup is providing all the excitement this evening.

There is nobody remaining who can mathematically go up or down. As mentioned, Mansfield, Walsall, Scunthorpe and Barrow, can gain safety tonight, and for Mansfield and Walsall it could be confirmed by the Southend - Colchester result regardless of their own result. I presume that in that case the cup would be shared as soon as Southend's match finishes, though if Southend win then it's just a case of whoever's match finished first with a result that guarantees safety (Mansfield and Scunthorpe are playing each other too)

One place and two points ahead of Mansfield, Oldham are safe but could mathematically still go up, and they play Harrogate who are only a couple of points higher. Either of those two stand to potentially win the mid-table cup tonight. If either Exeter, Newport or Orient win, then Oldham can no longer go up, but a Newport win could also mean Harrogate, Stevenage or Port Vale can't go up either should any fail to win.

So that's eight teams, all with a shout of winning this tonight. Why Sky Sports aren't televising this I do not know.

not quite right - IF we win and Grimsby lose they would be 12 points behind us with 4 games left, so even then they could catch us on points (but probably not goal difference), but IF we win and Southend fail to win then yes Southend can't catch us.
A draw for us and defeat for Southend would also leave Southend 9 points behind us with 3 games left and needing to make up a 25 goal difference....

I imagine we will lose as our players don't give a shit and we can't defend set-pieces
