yep - controversial winner as it was 100% a foul throw missed by the ref and lino. We should have been 2-1 up before that as the keeper made a good save to keep out a Hutton effort. Very even game and at least that's the longest trip out of the way for next season
Just seen your goal and it was a foul throw there as his feet were over the line. Boo hoo.

First half Swindon deserved the lead although there looked like an offside in the build up to their second goal. Second half was about as one sided as you'll see but we lacked a bit of cutting edge, ended up with 65% possession and 19 shots to their 7 but didn't create many clear cut chances, partly down to Swindon putting bodies on the line and defending very well. Bit of needle and a fair bit of shithousing on show, but no complaints most teams would do the same in Swindon's position.

Harrogate is must win on Saturday now if we want to win the league.

This is so much fun Devon_Lad

Almost wishing I'd stumped up for an iFollow pass.

Radio Cumbria placed their effects mic well. 100 Barra fans clearly outsinging 8,000 Grecians.

Battle of Thermopylae !!!!
Haha, I'm not even biting at that. I did see a few people scattered in their 1/4 empty block move about a bit twice but I thought it was just a signal the Bovril queue had shortened. Shame none of them had any vocals. Credit where its due, i saw a bit of sign language going on instead of vocally but think i know why now haha
Christ. Radio Cumbria was a mess when we played Carlisle, it clearly hasn't got any better.

Was thinking this is the game where the injury to Matty is really costing us, felt like he has that tiny little bit extra that would have seen a chance go in rather than just wide or saved.

Congratulations Exeter

It's the least you deserve after you relegated Grimsby(again).

Undoubtably the second half would have been completely different if we had managed to keep 11 on the pitch as we were far the better side in the first half. Thought FGR were a very good team but its a long time since we saw commitment from a Swindon side like that. Looks like we are chasing Sutton and Mansfield for a PO spot and considering that Mansfield have the harder run in its them that look under most pressure. Just need to win at home to Barrow on Saturday and then hope that our circa 4k fans that we are taking to Walsall on the last day can see us over the line. COYR!

Have to say that there was rejoicing in our seats at half time when we saw that Matt hadnt appeared for the second half. Reoccurrence of an injury?

I meant Matty Stevens who's out long term, but Jamma was just a bit knackered I think and RE probably wanted a bit more pace. Would probably have left him on if they'd known what was coming with the sending off, but them's the breaks.

For the 40 minutes we were down to 10 men FGR created virtually nothing. Can’t remember Ward having to make a save, no close shaves, just bodies on the line.

First class shithousery, though.

We mullered them first half with 11 men. Second half we hardly had the ball with 10 men.

At least you’ve got the guaranteed 3 points v Scunny to come.

You didn’t muller us in the first half at all. It was pretty even.

You shaded it, we dominated the second, although obviously had the man advantage.

You deserved it as you fought really well and took your chances, on another day we could have easily beat you though.

What like you didn't do at your place against half our reserves!
Good luck next season.

Congrats to Exeter. Amazing that they’ve caught up with FGR considering where they were in the league not so long back.
About 18 points behind I believe at one point.

I was mocked relentlessly when I said we'd overtake them.

Thanks for that. I am surprised, especially after the way you saw us off the other week, that you're not still in the fight for the autos.

Still, best of luck next season. Despite our awful record up their my own trips to the Wirral over the years have always been good days out - spoilt only by 90 minutes of football.

And don't worry. We'll be doing our best to deliver gloom and disappointment to Masi and his Notlob Waverers next season.

Tbf you dominated us more with half your reserves in! Maybe they shouldn’t be your reserves…

You need at least 4 points from Northampton and Vale to win the title I reckon.

Congratulations Exeter on your promotion, richly deserved, hopefully we can share a party together a week on Saturday!
Well. provided we do our bit on Saturday (and Harrogate do too) and we both need just a point "I'm sure something can be arranged" <wink>
