We do ok against the anti football teams so should be looking at a win against Northampton

In previous years we very much justifying that title, amongst the most direct teams. Earlier this season we were far more dynamic than that, especially away from home. As results have gone south though we are definitely seeing a lack of confidence reflected in the style of football.

Harrogate are 22nd in the home form table over the last 8 games and we are 4th in the away form table. Anything less than 3 points would certainly be disappointed.

Are you sure that bit definitely holds 300? Because I spoke to a few Town fans who were there on time the other week and all that messing about you saw was because there weren't enough seats for us apparently.
I’m very sure, we’ve had bigger followings in there this season too but obviously that depends on how much of the stand the club decide to use

As said earlier it's very hard to call tonight's game. Just glad we're likely to try scoring a goal though, that helps.

We do ok against Bradford at home usually. Not sure what side we'll have out as there are a few niggles, but we actually have a reasonable squad now so if Masterson, Dieng, Nichols and Hawkins don't make it then Wright, Williams, O'Brien and Abrahams aren't dreadful replacements. Could see a first bench appearance for a new face too, Coleman or Clarke possibly.

2-1 either way.

Mansfield took over 400 to Gillingham in September and we had plenty of room in the Gordon Road stand and didn’t need the uncovered stand.

Just seen our line up for tonight.

Keeper, 2 centre backs, 2 right backs, 1 left back, 1 midfielder, 4 forwards.

I’m watching Gillingham Bradford and actually quite enjoying it, especially the Gillingham fans working with Lapslie to try and get a penalty/free-kick on the sly at every opportunity.

Bradford go one up with a soft goal from a back post cross.

Hawkins getting literally undressed by the Bradford defenders and receiving the square root of jack shit, as normal.

I can confirm that is absolutely the standard.

Some right whinging bastards in that Gills home end.

Every passage of their play results in them throwing themselves to the floor. Gills fans are playing up to it, but the ref seems to have it under control, bringing O’Brien over for a talking to.

I’m guessing it went something like this:

“Ow, dickhead, I’m in control. Tell your players to stop fannying about and get on with the game”.

'Throwing themselves to the floor' - alright darling, I'm sure you believe that.

We've been comfortably the more progressive side with the ball, created some decent openings for Jefferies in particular. Bradford are weirdly playing a style which would absolutely suit a target man, they have one of the best one in the lower leagues on their books and instead they're playing Cook who keeps managing to get outjumped by Max Ehmer, one of the shortest centre backs in the league.

They're managing the game well so far, but we're well in this.

Fortunate to be 1-0 ahead. Gills deserve to be on level terms.

Only difference in that half is Gillingham falling asleep for the goal, not much quality so a normal L2 match really.

‘Could play a target man, are playing a striker who’s scored 20 this season’. TAA level of bad defending at the back post.

So your players aren’t throwing themselves to the floor? Talk about blinkered view, but that’s laughable. The ref has even told your players to shut up whinging.

Aye, you’re comfortably the more progressive side. You’ve had significantly less shots on target, less corners and your losing.

You’ve completed 8 passes more than us, if that’s what you mean.

Neither side look particularly good, it’s gone into touch more than a Sunday rugby league team.

If the ball spends any more time in the air, Biden is gonna shoot it down.

We've been really sloppy with our passing. Jamie Walker the rare bright spark for me - always looking to get forward. A shame his end product has been below par tonight.

My point was that the style you're playing tonight would better suit a target man. If you'd bothered to read what I'd put then you'd understand the distinction.

To be honest there has been nothing in it.
Don’t think we deserve to be behind but we haven’t troubled the keeper enough.
As for the crowd calling for decisions, don’t all home crowds do that?
The goal was just down to very weak defending from Alexander.
Still a long way do go but sadly our options from the bench are a bit more limited due to injury.
Would expect Nichols to get at least half an hour though.

Crawley better side in the first half, threatened a few times and brought one decent save out of Murphy. Rovers disjointed and toothless. Mellon needs to make some changes but hard to know where to start…

I'd expect to concede a set piece in the second half. We're so poor defending them.

Fingers crossed.
Trouble is Tutonda is such an atrocious defender I can see you scoring again.

Literally undressed? :eyes:

Then surely that’s sexual assault if Hawkins didn’t consent to it?

Yeah there was a weird moment where a Bradford defender started pulling his shorts down to try and stop him jumping for a header. Novel tactic to be fair, not sure if there's anything in the rulebook about molesting someone.

As I type, 2-0 Cook. Good finish but not sure what Ehmer was up to on the touchline.
