Jesus Christ Morecambe. I feel so sorry for your normal fans, but what a disgrace some of your 'fans' are. Maybe 5/10 trying to start on anyone going after the game, trying get a rise out of anyone they could. You have to laugh, what an embarrassment! The sooner you can get rid of them the better, they werent here when we played you last!

As for the game, thought Morecambe were the poorest side we've seen. Calved open a very easy 2-0 lead then panicked, but actually saw out the last 10 minutes with some ease.

So good to hear the final whistle though!

Well 2 wins out of 3 and unlucky to not draw at Ipswich, although tonight was winning ugly, no complaints from me.

Morecambe on Saturday too!

Wouldn't have scored even if we'd played till midnight, absolutely awful. Watch out for Sheff Wed though, a sleeper side coming up the rear. Rock solid defensively and have a goal a game in them.

A really poor first half cost us which is really annoying. We battled back and arguably deserved a point in the end.

One game we look capable at this level and the next week we look like we're back in League 2. You can't expect to stay up starting games like that.

Saturday is huge.

6 wins in 8 under Mckenna. I believe this side is capable of a lot more given time, we've locked the back door but I sometimes find myself frustrated watching as we seem intent on trying to walk the ball into the net. We are not Wengers Arsenal. Whilst tonight I never felt Donny were going to score, against better sides you can't rely on 1-0.

2nd in the form table over the last 8 games. For what its worth I expect us to make the the playoffs now. This league is bizarre and its suddenly starting to look a little congested towards the top. Should we fail to make and/or win the playoffs I'm sure McKenna will take us up next season providing he isn't poached, classy bloke.

Taking 7.5k to MK dons on Saturday - a win would seemingly cement us as firm contenders with games following against currently struggling Burton and Cheltenham sides, but I think that's a tough ask. I'd snap your hand off for a point now to maintain momentum knowing we would still be within striking distance with 14 to go.

How Bonne didn’t score one of those sitters I’ll never know. Must not lose on Saturday for me

I don't see it as a must win, rather a must not lose. Will be a great game though I'm sure, both will be going for it. Are you going?

As for Bonne, full of desire and on his day he can turn it on it but he's clearly lacking confidence. Would love to see McKenna throw Simpson in if the upcoming games are on a knife edge with 20 mins to go.

I can't put my finger on why, but I'm really dreading tomorrow evening.

I've got this horrible feeling Sunderland are going to take the piss and run riot. Probably due to us freezing in front of a decent sized crowd and them having to show their fans something after a 6-0 defeat and then losing to bottom of the League at home.
Happy to say I was wrong

At half time I could'nt see Fleetwood getting back into the game. How wrong was I. A battling second half performance brought a thoroughly deserved point, and with a bit of luck we could have nicked it. Excellent games from Dan Batty, Ellis Harrison, overall it was a great team effort. Credit to both sides played in awful conditions, the pitch is the worst I have ever seen. Fleetwood can take a lot from this game, we are not winning or losing just drawing every match at the moment, where will that magical win come from
Btw great support from Dons fans and looking at other results around you, a point was good for you

Charles was on it from the get go, but our pass and move game just never took off, Dapo and Fossey not firing fully left us lacking, thought Charlton picked up second half and deserved to equalise. I think we rode our luck tonight a draw would have probably been fair, but we are showing we can play poorly and win, that's a good sign.

The conditions really helped you as I don’t think we settled too well in the second half. Our best play relies on the ball moving swiftly and easily and that just couldn’t happen under those conditions when the ball is just stuttering to a stop in the puddles (except the one moment we needed it too when Twine rounded the goalkeeper).

I really felt sorry for your groundsman as I can’t imagine that will be an easy task to get into a relatively decent condition for your next home game.

Definitely can’t lose but there’s too many must wins and I think we need to be beating the teams around above us now at this point, taking the opportunity to get closer.

There’s been so many “what ifs” this season it’s frustrating!

I think the results that McKenna has achieved in his 8 games shows how poor Cook was. McKenna has achieved 5 clean sheets in 8, compared to Cooks 4 in 20. We’ve had 6 wins in 8 compared to 7 in 20 this season. Cook actually only won 13 in 44 so McKenna is almost half way there!

We just need to start scoring more goals and finishing games off rather than winning by the 1 goal

Another defeat last night. We are not good enough - or maybe we are just at our level and we have to accept it. Too many players in and out in jan, and JFH messing about with the formation from game to game. He doesn’t know what his best team is and nor how to play them.

If Gillingham stay up I'll eat my hat.

For all our possession we just didn't do enough to score and were very poor on the night. We really need some players back from injury or we're going to get sucked back into the dogfight.

Fuck me we won a game!

Don't think anyone saw that coming at half time, we were absolutely dreadful and kept giving the ball away around our own box (as we tend to do at least once or twice a game). One such occasion led to a Sunderland free kick which, to be fair, was beautifully struck by Pritchard.

Looked like being a routine 3/4-0er for Sunderland at that point, but second half we came out a different side, stopped pissing around in our own half and actually got the ball forward. Lo and behold this led to two goals (both aided by deflections it has to be said) and what was a deserved win in the end.

Sunderland looked excellent for 45 minutes but seemed to ease off second half, maybe a bit complacent which would be fair given how shit we were. Once we scored they never really got going again and we saw it out comfortably enough bar a couple of nervy late corners.

I've compared it elsewhere to our game against Ipswich in September. Sunderland were comfortable for 60 minutes or so, then we scored from nowhere and you could see their confidence just drain, and we were then comfortable.

Dear God I wish Kion Etete could head a ball though.

I don't think I've seen him head or even attempt to head the ball, don't know if he's saving himself till the warmer months or this is a flaw in his game but at 6"4 being a strong and willing header of the ball will bring rewards.

It wasn't a great game last night, CTFC took advantage of Sunderland's poor 2nd half (I've seen non league teams play better) and took the opportunities on goal when they came along which has been lacking. Was also pleasing to see CTFC get the ball in the corners to run the clock down rather than drop back let the opposition swarm on goal in the last few minutes.

Really need to get the win on Saturday and with last nights win some of the pressure has been taken off.

I got called out on the Nest for being overly critical, but the cross from Ben Williams in the first half, when he tried to overhead it rather than planting a firm head on it, drove me batty!

He seems to have a aversion to jumping as well

Both teams not really at it in our game, poor defensive error for our goal by Charlton. Not much quality really. We look a bit leggy after Saturday.

Didn’t get any better did it?

Dreadful game of football between two sides who look like they know their season is already up.

Couple of poor bits of defending from us decided it in the end. So frustrating that we always seem to come off second best in these sort of encounters.

Well we were very poor but Accrington definitely adjusted to the conditions far better and deservedly won.

The odds are certainly against us.

I see you could only name 5 subs last night. We were in the same, if not worse, position in early December when we named just 4 youth players as subs at Rotherham, then only 5 subs at Fleetwood.

Evans decided to sacrifice numbers for better quality at the start of the season and then the injuries hit. A gamble that did not pay off.

With Macdonald and Lloyd out for the season, we only have Oliver as an out and out striker. If he gets injured again, that leaves us with two young loanees with sod all League One experience, Kelman and Dickson-Peters, who do not have a goal between them so far.

You couldn't be more wrong we won playing our worst game in this run, nobody up here thinks this season's over we fully expect to do what we did last season and make a strong push to the end of the season. Not saying we will do it just that we expect them to try. but i won't back against us getting pretty close. If we had this squad in December we wouldn't be far off the play offs,.

That’s the worst we’ve played in our run too. Yesterday at the start of the game we were level on points and everyone knows we won’t make play-offs, they’re too far off and the same is true for you.

In all honesty i am not bothered if we dont go up not sure we are ready, but i said that last season.
I know the board trusts and will back Evatt either way. Each transfer window the team and squad are improving
And now we have some good Assets in the team. These players are only going to improve the more they play.
Yes Tuesday was bad but playing Tues/Sat will bring that. Last Feb we pinched a result at Mansfield and we then went on that run. If we finish top 6 great but i am going to enjoy the next few months just like i did this time last year.

You are about right where you are with that squad.........Dont see many better than us now
You would have beaten us 9/10 in November/December. The team we are fielding now is light years better than that team.........Honest question are you now better than what you was pre January??

Crewe we’re awful from the 25th minute onwards. We’ve got a good run of games against the bottom half teams coming up to hopefully propel us back into the play offs.
