After reading some of the comments on here, i was expecting something akin to the Spain 2010 side.

I just saw a side who just get a lot of balls into the box. Meh.
All they had first half was the longball. You’d think after all the money they’d spent they could keep it on the deck a bit. Lost count of the number of times they miscontrolled it in the first half too, started to pity them a bit. Good of King to give them a chance.

There was no stomach at all from Chesterfield. As soon as it went to 10 men, you folded like a deck of cards. You were home and hosed first half.

We were nowhere near our best, trust me, if that is a good Chesterfield performance, they're out of the running for me.
Poor effort that from you, you need to be more subtle when trying to bait us out. 3 or 4 posts in quick succession makes it too obvious matey

That's that done and dusted then.

We were poor tonight IMO. Ball was never on the deck enough, missed Sarcevic's calm head. Chesterfield turned it into a battle. When it was a football match there was only one side in it and that was us at 50% capacity.

Btw I’ve never rated Madden whenever I’ve seen him play against us in the past and I thought he was crap again tonight. Just a little fat man that runs around a lot

As for Quigley, who was it that said we had the shit one? Cos fucking hell he looked atrocious. Horrid diving antics from him as well, wonder if he thought they actually looked convincing?

Tshimanga and Asante streets ahead of the pair of them.

Great finish from Tshimanga and Asante got hold of the second one well enough, looked like a Hinchliffe fuck up. Neither touched the ball for the rest of the game was hard to judge.

Big deflection I think reading elsewhere.

I’ve said for a while now if we finish above Chesterfield then we’ll win the league.

They have the combination of pace, power, good hold up play and lethal finishing in their front two which nobody else in this league has.

Injuries and suspensions to three key players in King, Croll and especially Oyeleke who’s now starting to live up to his injury prone reputation could harm them going forward.

I’m not even on a Stocky wind up here but I do find the FT celeb scenes a bit cringe. Yes you had a man sent off but you were 2-0 up with 40 mins to play. A draw isn’t terrible from that position but it’s not great either.

Ref sees the highlights at half time and knows he's not given us a blatant goal that crossed the line and a stonewall penalty.

King then commits an orange card offence and of course he knows he has to act then. Chesterfied were a dirty team, ref should have nailed them down earlier.

We were nowhere near our best, missing Sarcevic who makes us tick.

I've never been more convinced we'll win the league than I am after tonight. Chesterfield have blown it really. 11 points clear and now 2-0 up cruising only for their legs to buckle. Not got the stomach for it.

It's is us vs Boreham Wood IMO. I'm backing us.
Stockport nothing to worry about. Red card ruined the game. Would like to see the challenge back as I thought King won the ball.

Commo seemed convinced he did, Phil Tooley was lost for words when the red came out. But damn SuperHans, 2.12am, then half 4? You on nights too, or just a massive insomniac?!

I actually found it pretty cringeworthy when your lot celebrated your equaliser. A goal to get a point against a team with 10 men celebrated like you had won the World Cup. Quigley looked like he was about to cum. You should’ve just stayed silent and only celebrated if you’d scored the winner.

It really is vintage Paul Hurst to get a great win at Notts (our first ‘good’ result in months) only to play two holding midfielders at home to Kings Lynn and draw 0-0 a matter of days later.

This is why we’re going absolutely nowhere with him

Even that seems like it would be far too much over exuberance for these Stockport fans. Only once the title is clinched by a minimum 10 points might they raise one tiny corner of their mouth in something vaguely resembling a smile. Anything other is just totally cringe

It was always going to be tough playing our 10 men against Stockports 12. They've managed to turn over the cannon fodder in this league to get where they are but last night shows they need that 12th man. They also needed the ref to turn over Dover. Teams like Kings Lynn, Weymouth and Wrexham will struggle at Stockport but can see a few of the bigger teams turning them over. It's just BW to worry about now.

Blimey. After days of nerve-wracking tension and build-up, we’ve woken up to the news we were all dreading - war in Europe.

No, not Ukraine/Russia. Stockport versus Chesterfield.
It's got potential to be huge this has.

Neither - ended up out in Manchester last night. Start work at 9. Wish me well.

What a prat you are just like your blinkered manager who claimed that he thought the non awarding of an obvious goal was a 'very good decision'.

What's he meant to say?

"It was a shocker!! I thought he should have given it."

A very enjoyable night at the Hall, after the shit we have put up with over the past few years it’s nice to have a team that can win games of football! Slowly sneaking our way up the table quietly, 18 points away from the relegation zone and 11 points away from the play offs, we couldn’t, could we?

Also shout out to the Bromley fans, I’ve never seen the stewards have to go in the away stand so many times because the fans were fighting amongst each other! One removed at half time and then another one ten minutes later and another one ten minutes after that and then again ten minutes after that!

Even one of the stockport journos has said it's inconclusive whether it was over the line, which tells me it probably wasn't.

I'd have Madden and Quigley back at Yeovil in a flash

It was a brilliant decision for us, why would he say otherwise?

Would have taken a point before and no doubt we’d have got all 3 if it wasn’t for the red but think it was about a fair result.
Agree we should have probably been out of sight 1st half but after the red card a point was always going to be a good result. Was a proper dig in and batton down the hatches job, thought we defended pretty well - though I think Loach should have done better to the first goal.
Not see either of the two big decisions yet - have no idea on the Stockport goal that wasn't given but thought King didn't need to go in like he did, ball was there to be won and should have been won but think he saw it as an opportunity to clatter someone at the same time when he didn't need too. Big loss for us if he's out for 3 games though.
Awful organisation at a club you'd think used to handling decent crowds, massive queueing to get in, only 2 turnstiles, and chaos in the ground too.
Great crowd for midweek football in Tier 5 though regardless of our league positions, we would have had a few more had we been allowed to sell the bit down the side on general sale but impressive numbers nontheless even if I thought a bit quiet at times, though probably not helped by the lack of a roof and wind I guess.

MASSIVE BROTHERHOOD BEEF.
Stockport have won the league. Stocky says so. They've now played more games than anyone else in the race Inside the play offs anyway. Long long way to go still.
