We all know about Bennell's links to Crewe and Man City but someone was saying last night he used to do a fair bit of work in Derbyshire and had a foot in at Chesterfield at the time? How true is it?

Not sure what you're trying to get at , but if it's fishing/baiting then you're as low as the man himself.

So why are you so intrigued.
Well it's fair to say Barry Bennell is not the most liked individual round this neck of the woods or any neck of the woods.

Bennell used to work heavily in Stockport aswell of course but never had links to SCFC. There's a few Stockport based lads who were coached and scouted by Bennell but of course they ended up at his two main clubs in Crewe or Man City.

I didn't realise he worked in Derbyshire at all and I was surprised to hear of a link to Chesterfield as it's something I would have thought I'd heard before.

Thought the people that may know more than me are Chesterfield fans on here of a certain age.

Finally we've figured out what triggers the Notts lot. People getting out their seats at games.

I love to see people out of their seats. That doesn’t excuse EVERY SINGLE matchday vlog having the words ‘limbs’ ‘insane scenes’ or ‘absolute carnage’ in their titles.

Think I’m just getting old and grumpy but I can’t abide LIMBS and all the rest of this hyperbole either.

It’s fans celebrating a goal in non league.

The only CFC related link that I am aware of is that our former player Mark Williams was one of his victims.

Highlights from the big one last night. Cold light of day I'll settle down and just say good football match, proper crowd, good atmosphere and a lots of incident. I think the Palmer header is probably just over the line on the second bounce, King's tackle is an orange card that has turned to red due to previous fouls from Chesterfield players IMO. It won't be overturned, it's excessive force. I think if the game/crowd was calmer and he'd done it first 20 I reckon it's a yellow. Tshimanga's definitley onside for the first, MSH plays him on. Hinchliffe shocking for the second. Two good strikes from our midfielders- I did warn the Chesterfield lads that our midfielders chip in with goals.

Point a piece. We'd have bitten your hand off for that at half time, Chesterfield fans would have bitten your hand off for that after Croasdale's equaliser.

The end.

Should probably quickly summarise the game last night. We deserved to win, Yeovil were poor but when Charlie Wakefield is having to play as a central striker, reinforcements are clearly required at Huish Park and that seemingly won’t happen until a change of ownership.

I’d like to see the penalty Yeovil got back on replay again, it seemed incredibly soft from the far end at the time. Good support from the Glovers, personally don’t think it should have been segregated but there we are.

You get away with them a bit more down here, but that’s a red more often than not and every time at higher levels. Wins the ball initially but then he’s totally out of control, studs up into the guy’s leg on the follow through. Looks a cracking game otherwise.

Even worse than I thought. Second goal I thought at the time must have been massively deflected. I don’t think it touches anyone does it?

Nah it swerves about a bit but basically goes straight through him.

Certainly doesn’t look it, he’s just somehow been deceived by the power.

Hard to tell but I’d say not over the line but it’s a red card for me

There’s no need for King to go in like that. He’s favourite for it anyway. Orange card is a good description but it’s so stupid to even give the ref the option of sending you off. If this was FM I’d be fining him 2 weeks wages.

The main action points from last night, including Husin getting wiped out by Webster and another awful piece of refereeing from the game.

It's just a good tackle, isn't it? It almost looks like the ref is bought by the players reaction to me. It looks like he's playing on until he notices the rolling around and theatrics *shrug*. Perhaps blue tinted glasses on, but that's not a red for me
