Yeah that was strong from us, workrate was top class and everyone was on top of their game. A pressure game and we blew a good team away there with our best display of the season.

Yeah I don't think you've been bad at all. Far from it. But you know when opposition fans say 'it's the best we've played all season.'?

Well this is the best we've played all season.
A great example of possession doesn’t win you football matches. Impossible to break down.
Weird feeling to come away from a 4-1 defeat and still feel just as confident for the play off hunt as I did before the game.

1-0 win away at Morecambe. More or less secures playoffs for us - which we're never going to win, but at least it's some more football to watch as long as we see it over the line.

Deserved the win, Morecambe didn't test our 'keeper at all, it was just about whether our completely toothless attack could get a goal, which we did. Fair play to Morecambe getting that game on after all the terrible weather too.

That was a kick in the nuts if ever there was one.

I just think Wrexham were better than us in every position and their tactics made us look like muppets.

I posted on our own forum. Sit deep and eventually we will give you a couple of goals. As evidence I present that second half.

I'm spitting tacks at the minute. Hopefully when I calm down I'll find so e positives in being battered.

Terrible match of football. We offered absolutely fuck all. Came for a point, running the risk of getting suckered punched and that's exactly what happened. Harrogate were the better team in the second half but they were very much on the beach. Another example of zero creativity in our midfield. I cannot wait to see some new midfielders in our squad, there isn't a single decent consistent combination of them.

At least Colchester and FGR lost too.

The sooner this season is over the better.

When are Barrow going to play all these games?

They are so under the radar they are off the map. Maybe it's time to move their stadium to Manchester too.

They are waiting for colder Tuesdays.

Presumably now they need to do saturday tuesday saturday tuesday saturday.

We’ve got our other game in hand next tuesday against accrington, hopefully they’re knackered by the time they play us last game of the season.

First half, Walsall were all over us, should have scored but their player hit the underside of the bar when a foot out even though it would have gone in if he left it.
We then scored against the run of play.
Second half we were far the better side, Adelukan had a goal disallowed for offside even though he looked on, then we had a goal line scramble where the ball looked clearly over the line to everyone except the officials. Got a second deservedly then decided to make life hard by conceding with a couple of minutes to go.
Never seen us win this many games in a row in my 53 years of watching Rovers. Still a tall order to snatch a playoff place but we are in the mix. Accrington next who we don’t beat in the league, especially at home.

I’m just pleased that our disallowed goal was actually offside so at least we have no one to blame but ourselves.
Our record against Harrogate is nearly as impressive as our record against Bradford.

positive - Walsall lost so you're still in a strong position for the play offs

A decent performance at best against a FGR side that only looked like they had a goal in them via set-plays.

That being said a clean sheet with Lucas Akins at right back and Jordan Bowery at centre back is a modern day miracle

Any actual defenders back for the weekend or will it likely be just as makeshift?

We might have 1 back, but it’s at least given us some breathing space if the worst happens at your place as we’ve the backup against accrington a week on tuesday.

We did what we needed to do today but it was against a pretty ordinary FG side, not one going for promotion.

Crawley pass and move very well just couldn't really make anything until the goal, which was really frustrating to concede, switched off.

Clinical today, we look good when we keep the ball on the deck, every time we did we scored or made a chance, wish we'd do it more often.
Same again Saturday please.

4 points from promotion barring some wacky GD swing, might only need to beat Forest Green on Saturday to secure it if MK and Barrow drop points.

Up the Stags & Gills!

We're up. Not official (P) but we would require losing all four remaining games and MK Dons would need to win all three with something like a 26 goal swing.

With the injuries we've had, set backs galore, it's some achievement. I think we'll try our upmost to win the league to pip Wrexham which would be some going given the transfer fees they shell out.

Between MK Dons and Mansfield for the last spot.

Whoever sneaks in 7th to shithouse the play offs would be great fun.

Oh and I thought Colchester deserved something tonight, we were out on our feet as predicted and it was the two stalwarts Madden with the goal and Hinchliffe with the penalty save which edged it.

Two games in a row we've played two teams fighting to their lives, horrendous refs giving them everything on awful pitches. To get 6 points has shown major bollocks.

No way Colchester should go down. They were miles better than Forest Green and Sutton were and we've played all three in the last 2 weeks.

I really can't believe we've taken no points from this weekend's two games, but I'm thinking relegation has our name all over it now. Utterly doomed. Six penalties taken this season, six missed. We have no goalscorer, no leader and a goalkeeper who keeps throwing one in every other week.

If this was January now I would have no concerns that we have plenty to be comfortable but the games are running out, we've had it.

Top quality performance tonight.

5 points to guarantee promotion. It’s nice to be confident about it and not have the dreaded nerves like last year.

Back us to definitely get it done from here!

Take that - a nice and clinical 4-1 thumping of a neat and tidy Crawley team. A nice passing side to side team who shit themselves when they got to the edge of the box, then resorted to shooting way outside the box. Didn't have a clue on how to penetrate our back line.

2nd goal was a recreation of the counter attack goal away at Grimsby, and great energy from everyone to get in position to strike whilst the iron was hot. A third was needed to kill the game, which came from a poor parry out and slammed in from close range. A 4th was provided on a plate due to a really shit back pass and the keeper forgot to come out his box which gave SPM time to pick his spot.

A consolation goal at the death when we were damn nearly in the dressing rooms at that point.

On to FGR at home, I really fancy us to get promotion on Saturday with Barrow and MK losing points.

Paul ‘non league striker’ Mullin with his 21st goal of the season tonight despite being injured for the first 10 games.

Where’s that Crewe fan?

Bit flat from us really, never really felt like we were going to score. Couple of decent set pieces and a late couple of shots from Osadebe and Mcallister that forced saves. Mansfield did enough to grind it out, Keillor-Dunn was their biggest threat as expected. Their goal was a header that seemed to loop in over Reyes who was caught out by it. Bit soft really given we'd defended well until then.

To have any chance of staying up we need to beat Wrexham at the Racecourse next Saturday, with them being on fire and needing a win for promotion. Not ideal.

One positive about being back in non league is that you get to reacquaint yourself with B2TF again so silver linings and all that.
