Lee currently shielding.....one player tested positive
As long as it has not spread the game should be on despite it raining

One of two games on the night where the opposition have never met.......that must be a first

In the very first football season, none of the teams had met. That was a first.

Just FGR above us not playing. Not really one of our games in hand, a decent chance to get in among it though.

Hopefully we're getting back to match sharpness, we looked all over the place against FGR. Only thing is the players who came off the bench in that game made a case for them to be starting, the players who came off can be excused though for being rusty, as I'd still take a match sharp Alessandra over a match sharp Zanzala. Dickenson and Toure though have better shout, in my eyes, to start over Mellish and Patrick.

see you thought you was being very clever, but they had all played each other for many years just not in a league match

Not many league 2 teams have played Harrogate before, and there are a few Bolton won't have done in this league as well.

Well I'm sure Bolton have played Morecambe in a friendly match. Smart arse.

Expect wins for Exeter, Cheltenham, Tranmere, Carlisle and Newport. Would make the top of the table very tight.

If we play like we did in the first half saturday you could be surprised and come away with the 3 points, what would help us is the ability to keep 11 men on the pitch.
There is no rain forcast this week just temperatures hovering around freezing day & night, as long as the covers have been put on there should be no problem with the game going ahead.

on the topic of Barrow playing Exeter in 72... wasn't that like their final match of their first spell as a league club?

It was at Exeter yeah, and we have Exeter away as our final game this year. Lightning will strike twice at this rate.

Away to ‘on the up’ Scunthorpe, usually an even game and would say a draw sounds about right.
Should all those that missed yesterday’s game be fit, we have more than a good chance of getting a result, saying that there’ll be less leniency in defeat than travelling away to Exeter with no striker and a couple of debuts; this will be classed as a game we expect something from. 2-2.

I don't think it'll be on, expected more rain before tuesday so will be waterlogged again.

By no means a forgone conclusion we’ll beat a Stevenage team fighting for their lives. I think they have done quite well considering they started the season with a squad made up of non league players. We found them difficult opponents down at their place and in Luke Norris they have a striker who knows where the back of the net is.
Think we are in for a tricky game.

Given Salford’s recent record of getting games on and the weather over the next couple of days, I’m half expecting our game to be postponed.

Salford don't seem to own any covers so our game will be postponed. Might as well move it to a date in the Spring.

Yep, it will be off once more and I don't think that would be such a bad thing if I'm honest. Most important thing right now is keeping our better players fit and if the game goes ahead then the pitch will almost certainly resemble a potato field.

I dunno about that, you were way better with 10 against us than with 11.

You will definitely score. Question is how well we can rotate the side after playing twice a week for the last month.
I'll go 1-1

If I remember correctly it was Exeter 0 Barrow 1 at half time.
By full time it was Exeter 7 Barrow 1!!

Would happily take a repeat of that this time round.

What temperature is it up there? Been loads of rain and if as cold down here it will be full of ice with no covers.

Dunno what those stats are on about as we haven’t played Carlisle yet this season. And considering the weather, I very much doubt that we will have by Wednesday either.
