In his honour, September 19 was established as The Day of Chamamé.

Much as I respect what Leonard Cohen has produced, I was immunised against him at an early age. A "mate" and neighbour at Uni was a mad Cohen (and Simon &Garfunkel) fan who played them constantly and loudly to the point of major irritation. I used to drown it out with Beefheart, Amon Duul and Can at max volume - since they had the same effect on him.

As for a tune from the collection, I offer
