Twerton Park - Bath City Ground Guide

I was going to create a thread for Grosvenor Vale, but an away perspective is always better, so I'll put one up of a great non-league ground that a few of us on here would have been to.

How Easy Was The Ground to Get To (from the station, by car, etc)

We went by car, turned off at J18 of the M4 and followed the A46 for most of the way. If you don't have sat-nav it could be a little tricky as the ground is only signposted nearby. For those going by train, change at Bath Spa for a service to Oldfield Park and then walk just under a mile to Twerton Park. 6/10

If Applicable, How is Parking Near The Ground?
We were fortunate and found street parking right by the ground, there are plenty of side streets to park and 150 spaces in the club car park. Can't fault them here. 10/10

Based on Where You Were Sat, How Was the View?
Near-perfect sightlines. Obviously I wasn't in a fixed position so was under the covered terrace opposite the main stand in the first half and moved to the terrace behind the goal where the away supporters are located (when segregation is enforced) in the 2nd half. First half I couldn't see a tiny section of the pitch, so for that I'll dock them a point. 9/10

How Were The Stewards on The Day?
Didn't see many stewards, those I did see were nearer to the bar  but they didn't have to do anything. Both sets of supporters were well natured and they let us have some fun with their mascot. 8/10

If You Ate at The Ground, How Would You Rate the Food?
N/A. Didn't eat at the ground.

How Was The Atmosphere At The Ground, From Both Sets of Supporters? Does the Stadium Hold the Noise?
Twerton Park under lights must be rocking. It was very good actually, both sets of supporters were under the covered terrace in the 1st half and the noise was loud, from both sides. If segregated I can appreciate that it's hard to generate the noise without a roof. 9/10

How Are the Pubs and Local Attractions in The Local Area?
Unfortunately I missed out on the pre-match festivities but Bath was the away day everyone was looking forward to last season and just as much this season. Those who did visit the many watering holes in the city offer nothing but praise with plenty of CAMRA pubs for the Real Ale types. Bath as a city is quite beautiful, the hills overlooking the city and the Roman architecture are marvelous. 10/10

Overall Score Out of 10?
If you ever face Bath in a friendly, cup or league fixture I recommend visiting. Twerton Park is so old-school and it's a proper away day. 9/10
