...On a new 2 year deal. Will he last that? How long will he last of that contract? Will he have money? Good appointment or not? Would you have rather kept Neil Redfearn in charge?

I've just bet a Leeds supporting colleague £25 that he won't be there next Christmas.

It's easy money, isn't it?

In normal circumstances I'd say this is a good appointment, it's harsh on Redfearn but I rate Rosler, if he's given time and gets backing he'll be good for Leeds. He must have been made some big promises by Cellino, his reputation took a knock after Wigan and Leeds is hardly the club to build your reputation back up.

Didn't do very well at Wigan but I still think this is a good appointment. It's good to see them appoint someone who's managed in this league before, albeit only for a short while before he was sacked. I hope he does well as I was a fan of his when he managed Brentford, he had them playing some really nice football.

Unfortunately, I can just see him being sacked quickly after falling out with Cellino.

What was the problem with Redfearn ffs?!

He's an idiot and must have been desperate to take that job to be honest.

Is Redfearn now his assistant or?

When did Leeds announce Redfearn had been sacked, or reverted to his former role at the club?

They haven't, they've offered him his role at the academy back..... not that he'll take it.

To answer the OP's questions:

Will he last that? No - he'll be gone by Christmas (latest, my money's on November)

Will he have money? Some - expect Cellino to spend it and calim it was Rosler who spunked it on some Italians
Good appointment or not? Not bad, he's still relatively unproven at this level but it's not the worst appointment we could've made considering Hockaday and Milanic seemed like a good idea to Cellino at the time.
Would you have rather kept Neil Redfearn in charge? I don't know, if the relationship had broken down as much as people say then Redfearn's reputation and record was only going to get worse - he would've received no backing this year both financially and strategically. He'd have probably been sackd early into next season so at least the new man gets time to work with the team through pre-saeson.

you must be confused Rammy, Leeds are a fucking circus atm, so why would Cellion the lunatic announce anything important?

so now we currently have 3 coaches in contract that we are paying :bdick::ds:

looking forward to FFP and how this time it still won't be Cellino's fault

Did very well at Brentford, started well at Wigan and if he wins those Play-offs it's a different story, of course last season was a complete cock up. Could be a good appointment for Leeds, but while ever Cellino is chairman they wont be going anywhere fast, and no manager will last long under him.

Poor guy. Must be very desperate if he wants to take the job.

He'll be gone by tomorrow.

Are Leeds going to be the Blackpool of this Season? To be honest, I had them & Huddersfield, as I don't rate Powell, as going down with Blackpool. Obviously I was wrong. I do have them both to struggle again this Season with Charlton in the mix!!

I think there will be plenty of money spent this summer. I have a feeling Pearson is apart of a bigger picture....

I think Rosler will do well this season. There was clearly something wrong at Wigan last season, and as long as they are sensible in the transfer market, I can see mid-table stability, followed by something more the season after.

I thought we'd capitulate like Blackpool did this season, the only person that stopped that from happening was Redfearn. He was a good man manager and got the best out of the players he had whilst bringing through some of our academy products as they made themselves first team mainstays over the italian imports.

Only picked up on this today. Always liked him as a player and he seemed to have a good start at Wigan following a good stint at Brentford. Leeds are a basket case though so who knows. Managers keep taking the job though as it is effectively a free swing, no one will hold being sacked there against them.
