Feels like Jak is trying to make a good pass instead of a traditional gk's clearance a bit too often and in kinda dangerous situations, he'll come unstuck soon if he keeps it up.

I'm happy for him to keep doing as he is, it's obviously something he's instructed to do and we actually look really comfortable to play it out from the back. If we just start hoofing it to the centre forward we'll be playing into the hands of the opposition.

Millwall had at least 3 really good chances but we probably deserved the win

Are you on drugs? It wasn't our best performance at Vale Park this season but we thoroughly deserved to win, and felt like we could have gone up a gear or two had we needed to.

Millwall have a good front two but little else.

We do at times but there was two or three occasions he took a dangerous touch with an attacker close by, and that bizarre pass out to Purkiss and one to Grant when he was already closely marked. Just need to pick when to play it out and when not to, he's not Neuer.

I didn't get that feeling. It was disjointed for me and lacked urgency. I'm sounding really negative here, we were the better side and I prefer this team to last season's I just won't be surprised if a team with more energetic midfielders than Tavares overrun us or Alnwick gives the ball away in a dangerous situation.

Tavares is a bit on the slow side but has unquestionable quality on the ball when he's at his best. The pace of the game over here will be far different than what he's used to and it might take until the back end of the season to really see the best of him. The lack of urgency at times was simply because at no point in the game did we require it really.
