Knew Lapslie would get one against Grimsby tonight. Forgot to back it.

Absolute mauling in the first half here. Dale probably the softest, poorest side I’ve seen all season. They’re playing like a mid-table side ready for the beach going through the motions. We’ve had 75% possession and most of it in their half.

Fight back...

Clarke off for Boateng at half time, if that’s another injury we might get called up ourselves.

Hopefully it’s just to take him off prematurely

He couldn’t miss, 2 yard open goal tap in after more fantastic defending by us.
We’ve somehow played worse in this second half than we did on Saturday which I didn’t think was possible.

Sounds dogger again from us. Hate to think where we'd be if we didn't have 21 points from the first nine games. Only 20 from the following 22.

Don’t worry the floodlights have gone off so it could be match abandoned, both sides are shite

11 minutes of injury time due to the light failure, it’s bloody hard watching

Mansfield definitely strolled around a bit in the second half and let Carlisle off despite them playing almost a 4-2-4. Swan was unlucky not to score in the second half, he hit the post and then scored right at the end but the referee blew for full time!

I still think we will be ok this season but these last 2 performances have been beyond awful, if we play like this for the rest of the season we go down 100% but thankfully we won’t play like that every week.
I hope.

Worst game of football I’ve ever seen.
At least Forza is having a good time with Lola.

Started bright but the games over as a contest getting a straight red on 12 minutes, looked like such a soft one too on the stream, angle wasn't great mind so it could've been deceiving.

Thoroughly deserved drubbing. When I say we’re toothless it doesn’t do us justice. 3 game with no goals but not even looking remotely close to scoring in any of them. Such a glaring lack of quality in our squad. Good enough to be comfortable which is an improvement on last season, but talk of promotion should end now:

Forget about top 7. We’re not good enough. This is why I haven’t set foot in the promotion thread even when we were getting results.

Looked a very soft red card for Hartlepool, which effectively killed the game for them. Despite winning 2-0 still thought we looked poor apart from the Southampton loanee (Finnagan) who looks a cut above this level. Big win though 9 points clear of the bottom 2 now with 2 games in hand.

Easy enough win tonight. Tranmere were dire especially their keeper and number 18.

Stockport County.
Crawley were genuinely one of the best I've seen at our place all season. Their pressing was brilliant. Their high line just gave us too much of an outlet.

We looked half arsed but got away with it.

2-2 draw with Newport. The game got off to a perfect start for us today, Kane Smith drifted centrally and picked out a lovely pass into the path of Luke Norris who was one on one with the keeper and calmly finished to make it 1-0. After this Newport made the game incredibly difficult for us, they played with a tempo, they were all over us like a rash, they didn't really create loads of chances but we were unsettled and were really struggling to get a foothold in the game. Newport levelled just before the break, Piergianni came charging out of defence to challenge for a header, he lost out and Bogle was in behind the defence and he touched it beyond Andresson for 1-1.

We made 4 changes at the break including Andresson off with what I'd suspect is concussion. He took a massive blow in the first half, received lengthy treatment and didn't look right at the end of the first half. The changes made a positive impact and we retook the lead through Jordan Roberts. A throw-in flicked on at the near post and Roberts was able to smash the ball home. After that we did a pretty good job of managing the game, towards the end Newport started to press a little more but no real chances were being created, then with 5 minutes left, the key moment in the game. A ball into the box, Bostwick's block/touch was heavy which forces him into a challenge, you can see he clearly takes the ball but the tackle is untidy and the Newport man makes the most of the contact for a penalty. Bogle converted for 2-2.

Really feels like 2 points dropped - a draw fair on the balance of the game but once we established the lead I felt relatively confident that we'd manage to hold on. Very frustrating end to the game, rub of the green not with us at the moment, we're picking up injuries left right and centre and we've been on the rough end of some decisions in recent times - really could argue that the 3 penalties against us the last 4 games should have been 0. Pretty demoralising, have to brush ourselves down and try and get something vs an incredibly difficult opponent in Stockport at the weekend.

We passed it around without doing much with it and too often gave it away doing so, thankfully Tranmere never looked like scoring bar two pull backs that missed everyone and it was easy in the end for a change.
Jamie Walker returning and firing makes a huge difference, how we’ve missed him this season, Adam Clayton makes us much better in the middle but at the back, Matty Platt to drop out when Critchlow is back fit he just isn’t made for a team that tries to knock it around.

Well earned hard fought draw. Bogle finally finding the net for first time in about ten games

Thought Stubbs was excellent - won everything in the air. Bar a few sloppy passes Clayton was excellent; His corners are better than Smallwood's. Jamie Walker was all over the pitch and deserved his goal. Cook and Derbyshire linked well until Derbyshire went off injured. Don't think anyone had a bad game really. We restricted Tranmere pretty well as they had no corners or shots on target. Not sure what their keeper and defender were doing for Cook's goal! All in all, pretty comfortable I think.

Rovers did some pretty stuff by way of approach play, but no end product, didn’t even manage a shot on target to test Bradford’s wonder keeper. The hosts had decent finishers and did as much as required, a suicidal second where neither the keeper or O’Connor on the line made any attempt to stop a Cook header.
Talk of play-offs delusional, still need another couple of wins to secure our L2 status. Bradford seemed surprisingly jittery given how ineffective we were.

We made harder work of that than we should've, for 60mins we was all over Rochdale the game should've been put to bed. Rochdale put in a performance in the first half which would get the manager the sack, they offered next to nothing didn't press and it should've been more than two.

Then in the second half they was a bit better, but we had chances still to get a third, then we got a bit lazy and Dale scored a well worked goal. Despite the crowd then getting nervy and Rochdale pushing - they never really forced a clear chance to score again and in the end we thankfully saw the game out. A few of our players were struggling a bit at the end as thats our 4th game in a week, but we managed to see the game out despite chopping and changing the side near the end with subs.

Rochdale for 60mins looked like a side bottom of the table, wasn't until they scored and our crowd got a bit nervy that they showed a bit more fight. Would be sad to see them go, but I think from what I saw this evening they're very likely to go down.
