Yeah got some Oreos in the cupboard, along with Tunnocks Teacakes (you're not a Scotsman if you don't have Teacakes in the hoose!) and Bourbons. They have been tempting me like hell all week but have been good and avoided them. May be going out on the piss tonight though which may undo some of the good work! Ah well if you can't enjoy yourself now and again, whats the fucking point!?! :D

That's a Scotsman's snack.

Some of the stuff he comes out with is comedy gold, like saying that the large number of empty seats at the end of the game on Saturday, was due to fans leaving early 'to beat the traffic' :ffs:
Tbh I think they do. It is quite expensive to attend a game at Old Trafford and most fans do leave early to beat the crowd. It's not like it's Stockport where you can pop in whenever you want.

I don't think van Gaal has ever resigned so Man Utd will have to sack him. Guardiola has reportedly met the owners in Paris but he won't leave Bayern before next season. Give the club to Giggs. Again.

JoMo has written a 6-page letter to United telling them he can change and would love to be their manager. (United still have a manager btw.)

United brass have apprehensions hiring Mourinho because of the way he conducts himself. Mourinho then sends a letter begging for the job whilst United still have a manager. Is Mourinho developing dementia?

Hilarious hearing the fickle United fans booing their side after 20 minutes today.

Definitely worked in our favour....

The booing and LVG out calls have been consistent for about two months now. Pretty much the opposite of being fickle.

As opposed to the 25 years under Baconface? Well at least the first 18 months anyway

I believe there are more Mancunian United fans on here than Mancunian City fans or Scouse Liverpool fans. To choose two totally random examples.

I'm a dirty southern clinger-on though. I sicken myself.

Indeed, coming from London and supporting that lot, I should report you to Danny Dyer to sort you out!! :p

I should report you to Rab for supporting Liverpool, by the way!

I haven't read the thread but I hope people have been posting the "worse than Moyes" stats.

It was another low in a campaign littered with disappointments for the Red Devils, and manager Van Gaal's grip on his job again comes into focus.

Here is a look at how the records of Van Gaal and his predecessor David Moyes compare, looking at United after 23 Premier League games of this season and Moyes' 2013/14 campaign at the same stage.

United had three more points after 23 games under Moyes' leadership, and he was sacked before the end of the season.

Premier League

Moyes 13/14 v Van Gaal 15/16

12 Wins 10

4 Draws 7

7 Defeats 6

38 Goals for 28

27 Goals against 21

40 Points 37

6 Points adrift of top four 5

Europe

Moyes: Negotiated the Champions League group stage, went on to reach the quarter-finals.

Van Gaal: Knocked out of the Champions League, about to embark on a Europa League campaign.

FA Cup

Moyes: Knocked out by Swansea in the third round.

Van Gaal: Scraped a third-round win against Sheffield United.

Fewer goals conceded and fewer defeats.

Equal 2nd for worst home goals in the PL, only Villa have less, just to balance things out.

Quite an interesting theory on the Sunday Supplement that the reason that LvG is still in a job is possibly down to Leicester City. With Leicester being a surprise package and nobody taking their top 4 prospects seriously it's thought that maybe the Utd hierarchy dismissed the idea that Leicester could stick around and finish in the Champions league spots and that Man Utd, currently 5th, could simply step into the position vacated by the foxes when they inevitably slump. A 4th place finish then manages to equal last seasons end result, blushes are spared and this season can be written off and the situation remedied in the summer as opposed to sacking him now.

Didn't we all predict this would happen when he came across? Do alright then bugger it all up? Except for the Manoo fans of course who thought they were going to win the quadruple season after season and hark in a new era of glory better than under the Govan drunkard. ;)
