Got a 10 game ban for 'verbal abuse' towards James McClean. He's ex rangers, McClean is how he is, you can only imagine what he said (wasn't that bad tbf) but a 10 game ban?? When Terry and Suarez got what 4 and 8 game bans for racism?

Another example of the powers that be showing their contempt towards Rotherham and our players.

You'll believe Evans soon when he says they hate us.

How do you know what he said wasn't that bad?

I'm not sure his ban is worthy of that length.

Come on, surely you know that it's more about Terry and Suarez getting off lightly because they are Terry and Suarez playing for Chelsea and Liverpool respectively rather than some vendetta against Rotherham.

Metaphorically, or literally?

You're a Rotherham fan who claims to know what was said.

I trust the committee who decided on the 10 game ban over you.

I do know what he said, begins with f and ends in n, not very hard to work out.

Endorsing sectarian abuse? Nice.

Hmm maybe you should stop jumping to conclusions. Where am I endorsing sectarian abuse?

The reason I think he's a prick is because of the manner he was sent off against us last season when he was fighting with our players... Of course though it's easy to jump down the 'sectarian abuse' road now isn't it? :ffs:

You wrote "good on Kirk Broadfoot" suggesting you are glad that he did it.

I was glad he did it because he's a prick, I don't endorse the sectarian abuse.

I also think he's a c*** because of the poppy reference, and last week disrespectfully turning away from the flag in a friendly for West Brom during the national anthems. Funny how he's fine enough to collect thousands of notes each week with the Queens head though. Was also funny how he is apparently so patriotic that he left Northern Ireland to join the Republic of Ireland to play for them on an international basis. Yes, the man is a prized c***.

To be clear, my issue is with James McLean as a person, and various actions towards certain issues he has taken in recent years. I don't condone the sectarian abuse at all.

Would you expect someone from the Gaza strip to acknowledge the Israeli anthem?

Embarassing. You clearly don't have a clue. McClean doesn't have to wear a poppy if he doesn't want to. He's said he understands that people from all backgrounds died in the world wars, however the poppy can be seen as a symbol of the British Army. He feels uncomfortable wearing it giving where he grew up and what his beliefs are. Why should he wear something he doesn't want to, just because the media pressure him to? He's being respectful to his own people. On 30 January 1972 the British army murdered 14 unarmed innocent civilians in Derry. This dark, dark day, along with others in Northern Ireland has heavily affected Derry as a city and also the area McClean grew up in. Not only this, elements of the army generally treated nationalists unfairly showing preference to Unionists which only increased tension. What did he do disrespectfully regarding the anthem? he didn't acknoweldge it because he doesn't recognise the head of state, nor should he. It's not as if he's said anything about it. He's at West Brom to play football, nothing else. You ought to read up on the facts before sprouting such nonsense.

What's the difference between someone turning away while a national anthem is being played and some one not joining in? Does either of them effect anyone in the slightest? I'd say no.

I have a pretty damn good understanding of the events of the Northern Irish conflict thanks. I've had relatives who fought against the IRA, hence why views on the subject are strong

What about all of the unarmed civilians killed by IRA terrorist attacks in Britain? Innocent parties died on both sides, soon to forget that are we?

. What did he do disrespectfully regarding the anthem?.

Not sure what sort of sad upbringing you've had but to intentionally turn away from a flag during the national anthem is considered disrespectful by most

For a man who is paid a very good wage by the country he lives and works in, yes, I think he should show more respect to the country who made him what he is today.
