I think the first two performances under him are encouraging, the kamikaze set-up by Williams had to stop and clearly that’s what he’s working on.

Got to admit been plenty of knife sharpening on twitter and the like, poor form so early on.

I agree, although I think some of the frustration stems from our results not having been great for a while rather than just his first two games. Guy just got plain unlucky to lose on Saturday really.

We do need a result here, though.

Cloughie still not offered to replay the fixture after the ghost goal? Very surprising. Thought he was a man of integrity. He told us last week he hated wrong decisions.

You should graciously let us win for getting so many MK fans butthurt over our scoreboard at the weekend (and for beating them)
Yeah and that ridiculous flag they had on show on Saturday. You just have to laugh at them . I don't think that will be making an appearance when they visit Plough lane next month .

I think this is a key game. Barrow was always a tough looking opener on paper and we didn't lose, we never get a result at Field Mill so a free hit, unlucky to lose. Gills at home under the lights, he's got to be winning this one. No guarantees because we are out of form and need the Big Man in as an option to freshen things up top but this looks like a tipping balance game for the fanbase.

Nobody claimed it went in at the time because it didn’t go in and footage backs it up. Coping mechanism claim from Jacob I think.

You got the footage? Only one I've seen it's impossible to tell because Langstaff is stood in the way, but every one of your fans sat at that end of the ground I've seen comment on it said they thought it went in. Our two players near it both start to celebrate rather than follow the ball in as well.

I don't think it was a penalty either btw, as I explained in great detail last week when it happened to you. ;)

It’s completely different to what happened to DKD who turned the player towards the goal with a clear shirt pull. Your ‘penalty claim’ the ball was going sideways and the arm was put across the back of Langstaff? I think it was, very poor comparison Jacob.

Regarding the ‘phantom goal’ the closer one was actually Flint potential own goal which apparently on the analyst’s camera shown it landed bang in the middle of the line, not seen this one obviously so I’m going off the report.

Another day you’d have definitely got something out of Saturday, Mcgoldrick would usually put that chance away I’m sure. To be fair I reckon you got away with us not scoring again in the 2nd half too.

No idea if the new gaffer is going to be good enough but let’s be frank he’s come in to a squad that’s a shitshow defensively and if he didn’t make that his priority he’d be mad. You still looked dangerous in the first half too.

Properly looking forward to Friday, had to miss Barrow and was never getting a ticket for Saturday so feels like an age since I've been. Decent opposition, chance to see new players and under the lights, top stuff. Gillingham would appear to be a very defensive team so it might end up looking a bit more like Williams' Notts than the last two games.

14 wins in our last 92 league games. Averaged less then 1 win in 6 over two seasons worth of games, but the good news is we're due a win next week as we haven't won in 14.

Mansfield must be shitting themselves.

I am but I’m not allowed to say as it goes against Viking Mags rules.

Hate playing sides with new managers, granted we did Saturday but he’s a manager coming in to replace a bloke that the supporters loved, completely different to Saturday.

Hopefully it’s a game too soon for any of your new lads to make a real impact.

Still undecided whether to go, be a drive down if so I think. Is there anywhere to park other than the school near the ground? Was a pain in arse that night it was called off for fog getting out of there

Hope we can stuff the fat scouser’s Salford Saturday. He’s not popular down our way. Think we will, too.

No rules, be my guest just makes you a little daft, lad.

As has been shown all season of a Mansfield fan can spin it pre game negatively, however much of a stretch, they will*

I wouldn’t say we are a very defensive team, it’s just that we stroll around with no urgency at all until we go a goal behind.
We are currently the most frustrating team I can remember for a very long time.

You obviously know better than me but it's an easy assumption to jump to with your GD being 26-35 and you starting the season with about 10 1-0s. I reckon pretty much everyone in the division who isn't a Gillingham fan would say the same.

If we were scoring goals at a reasonable rate then it'd be more obvious - Our most consistent area of the pitch is in defence as we have some of the better options in League Two in our back line, but we don't play a defensive style of football we're just quite good (in the main) at defending when we need to. We certainly never shut up shop against anyone in this league as a matter of course (yes, if we're 1-0 up with 10 to go we'll hold onto it same as anyone else does) like some teams do, we're better than that. It all comes back to being utterly impotent. We get into attacking positions quite regularly and then leave them without shooting, it's bold.

Win tommorow and Saturday and we could be on the fringes of the play offs this team is so inconsistent though we could also lose both been a frustrating season.

Near the ground if you're there early enough there should be somewhere on the housing estate if you turn right on the roundabout outside the ground and drive down Nortonwood. Should find a space down there or one of the side roads. There is usually park and ride every half hour from Renishaw's car park too.

If that flag appears, all the stewards deserve to be sacked. We have to publish their unacceptable name on the scoreboard and the programme. No way would that flag get through. It's a red rag to a bull.

Who’d have thought, you know your own club  Sides down there sit back and we struggle, which is why i like games like saturday when a side not as good as us come and play, happy days!

Especially as well given FG haven’t won since october, bad times.

Yeah but as you you've played 29 games and only lost 3. I think safe to say that's an important stat and tells a much bigger, more accurate and different story.

Spin spin sugar. Tune..

Stats don't lie.

If you've predicted a league defeat every game this season you've been correct not once, not twice but thrice. So not struggling that much as the league table shows.

True story, and the whole story :hypo:
