Any insight into the varying wage bills in the NL? In particular the annual management and playing budgets for the likes of Sutton, Borehamwood, Aldershot, Woking, Kings Lynn, Weymouth, Bromley, Maidenhead etc? Those clubs are a better comparison for Wealdstone.

Our AGM indicated ours was a shade over £1m for playing staff this year, but has been reduced by JR apparently.

In 2018 it was £660,000. I assume it has increased since.

Agents fees from last season some mind blowing figures from some clubs.

Not surprised to see Notts County & Stockport with the highest spends.

Expected Boreham Wood to be higher, and would be interested to see Bromley's figures. Both these clubs seem to consistently have very good squads in comparison to their club size, attendances etc.

According to their forum Bromley didn’t pay agent fees.

I remember an interview with one of our bods recently who said that each club knows every other club's budget, so publicly mis-stating your budget is something that could be easily called out by others. They also said at the time that ours wasn't top, but was top 5.

That was also before the Paddy Madden signing, as part of Project Cannot Let Rusk Fail, so we could probably be top right now.

Can’t really see what the top two would be other than Notts and Stockport.

Ours will probably be lower next season, end of the last EFL contracts in Boldewijn and Doyle and O’Brien plus those we had to give good two-year deals to when we had about four players under contract at the start of last season.

As our assistant manager stated on the post match interview yesterday, we are now operating on 40% of our previous budget, which in itself isn’t anywhere near enough for this league.

So your current budget is say £250k. Someone’s telling porkies at your club.

Disagree. We are basically a fans owned club and we see our financial accounts. None of the previous statements for our budget have been out of kilter with what was declared on the financial statements.

We have at least nine players out on furlough, others have joined and playing for expenses. The current numbers seem reasonable. You can also tell from our performances as well.

Why? Because a club in this division isn't spunking obscene amounts of money on journeymen hasbeens? Our budget right now - if it were in place for the entire 40 weeks - wouldn't even be top 5 in the Isthmian League.

Our agreed budget for the season was probably top 5 NLS level, we didn't sign a single player in the summer from the NL, they were retained from last season or stepped up from step 3 or step 2. We've now got 9 first team players on furlough. That's the reality for a fans owned club like ours in this situation, with no benefactor. The reality for the rest of you spending (and losing ) a fortune is you're just really badly run.

This is all true to be fair, with the exception of the likes of Maidenhead and Weymouth.

So let me get this right, your naming a squad of 16 have 10 on furlough, add the management team and physio on top so about about 30 people pre furlough on the wage bill all on £250k a year? That is about £8k a year each or £200 a week if you pay part time 40 weeks a year, pull the other one lads surely you don’t believe that’s true. All within the M25 too, lol.
