With confirming their top-flight status looking a formality in mid-February and their focus shifted to an FA Cup run, Watford's league form has taken a nose-dive. If they weren't on the beach before, their cup exit last weekend ensures they definitely will be now.

Guaranteed to finish bottom, it's a season to forget for Villa. Not quite Derby (11pts) or Sunderland (15pts) bad but close enough. They do have one record in their sights though. Having lost 10 straight games (since a win over some other pathetic team going down with them), they are one defeat away from equalling their record number of consecutive losses (11 from March to May 1963).

Watford haven't scored more than one goal in their last eight games but may fancy their chances of boosting that GF column.

Match discussion here...

If you drop points against us you deserve immediate relegation at the moment. We're fucking dire.

Well we haven't played well for a while and we've lost to relegated teams before in the Championship!

We don't play with pace or wingers so won't go for the kill like some teams have against you guys..

I'd be sure of a goal or two if Deeney plays though and our defence/Gomes is pretty reliable.

Ah yes, but even in the games we've deserved to win this season (very few, I grant you) we've found a way to lose. (See Leicester for a start...)

Doing our best to lose it, fortunately it seems Watford's players are petulant little wankers, so they're fucking up their own chances through dirty fouls.

Well that probably summed up your season Jason!

Anyone else would have hammered us...let alone give away 2 goals in injury time.

Didn't help ourselves with some poor defending and lack of width or pace until Berghuis came on....

Nah, the 4-0, 5-0, 6-0's etc have summed up our season... No hope. That was like an early season game for us, a bit of hope to be snatched away late on.

Well that was awful.

Genuinely cannot understand how we won that, we made villa look like world beaters after the opening 25 minuites.

Ah well, we scored three goals which is a miracle in itself, mathmatically safe and the highest promoted team. Would have taken that with three to go at the start of the season.
