Just watched the Everton match v Swansea and i have to say people wrote him off way too early.

Rooney is still class and tonight he couldn't have give anything more.

Great signing by Everton and free too.

I can see him bagging 20 goals this season himself and many more assists to boot ,another 2 tonight.

2 assists 1 goal

Missing a penalty is an assist :dk::dk: suppose it goes down as one. And sigurdsson scoring a screamer from 25 yds also an assist :ffs::ffs:

10 goals and 2 assists from 15 starts is a very good return whichever way you look at it.

Yes it is, wonder if he would have achieved that at another club though? with him being a scouser it obviously means more to him.........not sure he would have done the same for Newcastle for example.

Very possibly not, at that age motivation comes into it much more than at a younger age when the hunger comes naturally, I guess.

He certainly does well at Everton, but he simply isn't good enough anymore for the top teams in the PL. not to mention the CL.
Well 99% of football isnt top 4 or the CL so hes fine.

I've never rated Rooney as a world class player but he has been a very very good player and had a very successful career. He's let himself down at every major tournament for England other than 04 but he ain't the only one in that category. I personally think he would still do a job at a top club but he's back home now and hopefully he wins something with Everton and call it a day. He's earnt that at least. The pressure and spotlight on him since 16 year old will never be repeated I don't think in this country for anyone.

Rooney seems to be over the hill, and both his physical and mental condition appear to be below par. I don't think Rooney would add any any value to the top teams in the PL.

He could be 16 and not manage that, never mind 32. Liverpool fans don't call them Neverton for nothing.
