It's the business of winning the league, you don't get bonus points for attractive football.

Can't say it's not deserved, or expected. Knew it from the first game of the season, Fabregas and Costa transformed the team. Best team in the league right now, probably the best manager in the league. Wish I could say United will be coming for you next season, but it'll take a fair bit of catching up.

Can only see Man City challenging Chelsea next season and that would include a fair amount being spent. They need a good 2 or 3 players.

Deserved winners but a pretty low standard league this season. Arsenal look to have the team to push Chelsea however it only turns up for half the season. City, Utd and Liverpool have been relatively poor.

I'm not a fan of the style Chelsea play but it's effective so well done.

If we played like we did for the first half of the season throughout we'd have been regarded as one of the all-time great title winning teams and one that could very well have won it in any of the previous 6 or 7 seasons.

It is an unreasonable hypothetical to pose, though, since the decline of our form was nothing out of the blue, and was almost an inevitability given the lack of rotation of our small squad who were playing such a draining, high-tempo style of play, combined with our manager's cautious, reactive nature - losing so badly at WHL completely changed the way he looked at this team and he was never as adventurous again. We've played one match in 2015 in which we've looked the same team that essentially won this title between August and December.

There is definitely something reassuring about how well Mourinho drills the team and how unbeatable we've looked in previous weeks, but I will say that the way we've stumbled to the title has certainly taken a lot of the gloss off of it, and I definitely don't feel as good today as I did when we won it so brilliantly back in 2010 (that run of a couple of months where we scored a billion goals). Most Chelsea fans will say they only care about winning, but I'd certainly like to have finished in style. Today's performance was pretty horrible, in all honesty. A group this talented given one home game to go out and play to win a trophy, against a half-decent team that weren't really all that threatening, and it ended up requiring a moment of gamesmanship (cheating?) to decide it.

Do hope we strengthen in forward areas in the summer. I'd like for a squad strong enough to allow us to play that high-energy game we did for 3-4 months over the entire 9. There's no way the league will be such a stroll next season. In the end, it's just a terrible reflection on the performance of any of the other challengers that we've been able to play so badly for so long and still win it by a huge margin.

Agree 100% with that which is why Chelsea were my favs to win the CL with Bayern and Real. I'm not particularly happy that we knocked Chelsea out as it was more them not turning up than us being good. I would have preferred to have lost fair and square rather than watching this tepid 180 minutes of football which wasn't entertaining at all.
Truth be told, Chelsea were playing the best football in Europe until Spurs. It really is a shame that they reverted to being boring in 2015. Hopefully Mourinho came make them decent to watch for a whole season.

Congrats, much deserved title win, but they have been extremely lucky with their lack of injuries this season (especially compared to the other top teams)

We get 'lucky' every year with injuries- so it's not really luck.

I genuinely couldn't have asked for a better scoreline than the one we got today. 1-0 scrappy penalty and finishing the game with 6 defenders on the pitch.

What a day!

FABREGAS IS MAGIC....!

We have lost 3 games in all competitions all season....If we remain unbeaten til the end of the season that will go down as the record. Boring.

We've been top since day 1 and have been unbeaten against the top 4 clubs for 2 seasons. Boring.

It's fantastic that Arsenal fans are so upset by our style of play....this is the same team that's managed 1 shot on target against us this season. Boring.

Unbeaten at home. Boring.

Champions Of England. Boring.

Boring. Boring. Boring.

Love the dig at Rafa from Terry there, as well as the kind words towards Rio.

Well deserved title win for Chelsea. They did play some fantastic football throughout the season, particularly at the front end of it as others have said, and they were pragmatic when they were ahead enough that risks weren't sensible to take.

Well done Chelsea. Signing Fabregas & Costa made them contenders, when Remy was signed as back up that convinced me they were the team to beat. Can see them adding another 3 players to the squad to make them Champions League contenders in the summer too

Well deserved, but what a horrible season that was.

I don't buy it that they are "boring". I can see what Zfg was saying and Mourinho ended up being far too cautious in the last few months, probably because his trophy drought was bothering him and we was nervous, but in the end you do what you have to do to win. We played some phenomenal football last season and ended up with nothing, i would gladly exchange that with Chelsea's "boring" campaign.

You disagree?
If we were extremely lucky our 2 best strikers wouldn't have missed the last 2 months of football.

There's nothing lucky about having a fit squad for the majority of the season. It's called having a superb medical team behind the scenes.

Arsenal haven't been unlucky with injuries.....they've had more injuries than anyone else every season for about a decade, that doesn't just come about because of luck. Get a grip.

I also think our lack of injuries (this year anyway) has a lot to do with the fact we exploded out the blocks for the first few months, built up a big lead, then coasted in to the finish without too much effort. Nearly backfired over Christmas when city almost overtook us and meant we were shit in Europe but other than that its worked pretty well. Unbelievable that Terry has played in every minute of the league.

Love how much the "boring" tag has gotten under Chelsea's skins. You're shit to watch, but thats ok. That's your brand and that's how you win games. Nobody's upset at your style of play, it's just horrible to watch. I do think its stupid for managers to come out against it, they need to find a way to beat it, but its perfectly reasonable for us non UKIP humans who have a pulse to want to watch something worth seeing.

Chelsea deserve their win. Your brand of football wins games and will continue to win games until Roman gets bored of it.

Congratulations and well done Chelsea. Always called boring, the first half of the season was anything but, with Costa and Fabregas scoring/assisting for fun. Once Costa ran out of gas and eventually got injured Mourinho did what he had to win what he needed. Hazard carried the flag and scored penalty after penalty to carry them over the line.

Couple of upgrades this summer and Chelsea will be an animal of a team next season, Willian isn't good enough nor is Oscar. Even though we said this about this season, next season is going to be a belter.

Willian's actually been much better towards the end of this season, but yeh if we're playing fantasy football then that's probably where we can upgrade.

You have limitless funds, of course you'll upgrade. Out of everyone in the starting 11 he just seems like fast legs and great fitness.
