The lad caprice is a good player, and the problem with playing worrall as a wing back when he’s against a decent quick player like him is his attacking game is somewhat muted.
We just cancelled each other out really, it was pretty standard league 2 stuff.
A noisy 273 mad bastards from Exeter deserve some praise.

He looked really decent the other friday at field mill, exeter were one of the better sides i’d seen at home this season, though like most they went home empty handed.

Anyone from us upwards will believe they’ve a very realistic chance of the top 3. I’ve not yet see us play FG yet but i’ve not seen a side stand out which makes me think they’re certs for going up.

A deserved and comprehensive victory for ourselves, our squad looks so much better playing football on the floor. We should really have been leading at half time but Mark Oxley made 3 good saves. Vigs to be fair also had to make 2 saves but it was a half we dominated.

Second half we finally managed to take one of our chances and a second quickly followed. Harrogate then started throwing most of their team forward and putting us under some pressure - which resulted in a third on the break to seal a deserved victory.

Harrogate we’re dreadful, missing Falkingham badly in their midfield and their backline was very error prone.

One more win for us and we’re safe, fair play to Wellens, not had a full weeks proper training yet with our fixture backlog and he’s made us look like a proper team again.

Hate to be right again but obviously I am. Said we'd sit back and love a point. Stubbs is too good for any strikers. Take it all day long.

So going away to a promotion contender, staying solid and getting a well earned point is the mark of a good side in your opinion I take it?

Did some good stuff that looked nice and tidy but ultimately I don’t think we really did enough to win it. Not a bad point I suppose and it’s closed us in on the playoffs but just when we needed that little bit extra to win it wasn’t quite there.
Yeah it didn’t really quite happen in front of goal today, thought Proctor looked knackered and understandably after a couple of real batterings he’s took for the team in the past week. Probably one game too far for him today.

We were solid enough, Hall was a beast at the back but Exeter came for a point from the off, slowed the game down with the time wasting, bit physical and fair play to them it was tough to break them down in the end, just a shame Amoo couldn’t poke that spill home with the last kick.

Caprice looked a decent player for them, all their danger was from him so was chuffed when he went off.

If we win Saturday it’s a good point, two decent sides tonight and we are not 1 loss in 14 so if we can keep the points ticking over we have a chance. Saturday is massive now.

You can take a lot of things but what you just posted has nothing to do with anything I've posted so take what you like from wherever you like

Depends, if Exeter come and sit deep as Devon Lad suggests then Walker may be the better option with his switch pass, for me Martin is ready made for the aerial bombardment I expect on Saturday so would be more inclined not to risk him tonight.
As expected and as predicted. Our defense was a rock. Draw was a good result for us.

Exeter came for a point from the off
It's OK to say I was right. A lot of people are struggling with it of late. (Mentioning no 17 point clear FGR fans)

We came for a point with a side that recalled 2 players that couldn't even start in leagues 3 league below ours. Bath City not a first team player but credit where its due, Vale couldn't handle it.

We came with a clear game plan to get a point, we succeeded in it. We were hammered wi4h injuries and we had Vale crying and having melt downs on their forum we were gunna call the game off while they finish off each post off with 'fear no-one' turns out they feared us so much they posted about 20 times they don't fear us. What an embarrassing forum. Deep down I think they wanted us to call the game off. They fear us. Probably be a 4 or 5 nil win when they come here and we have a full squad.

Fair play to KMT. Came for a point and got it with arguably the best chances to come away with all the points given the woodwork smashes.

UTC.

FGR to finish 4th. Vale may well finish 3rd.

That one for Amoo was just a case of a matter of inches. Was a pretty bad blunder by their keeper though but ultimately didn’t cost them. As it happened I thought Amoo and Harratt for that matter did a nice job when they came on.

Tonight was a time I felt that we desperately needed Conlon. He’d have found the killer pass at some point but never mind.

One thing I think needs to be looked at improving is the home atmosphere. Once again it felt very flat at VP. There used to be a time it was a horrible place for opponents to come to but not so much any more.

Well happy with a point away at Vale. I thought Vale were pretty good and our keeper (who is class) made a great save early in the game but after that, for all their possession I didn’t think Vale really threatened. Some massive games at the weekend

All games are big for everyone now.

We’re now on a run of seemingly endless saturday/tuesday - yet another 2 away games in oldham and hartlepool before northampton a week on saturday in what could well be a complete sell out.

At least we will have a few midweeks off now. Its been pretty brutal of late.
I hope we get a big crowd on Saturday but can cobble together enough of a performance to win. No idea what sort of shape Stevenage will be in either

Worth a mention but fair play to the Exeter manager, saw a clip and at full time he was picking up their players rubbish off the field at the end. Not seen that before but class that.

Ha, it's El Dino John Sheridan walking off after we beat his Oldham side 1-0. Clearly he was getting abuse from the tartan blanket brigade that sit in that stand and he didn't like it - even though he came out in the press and said he didn't give a shit about getting abuse from us. There was rumour that fans made comments about his dead parents, which of course if true is very much out of order.

About the right result, Mansfield generally did ok but we did struggle to not shoot straight at the goalie on nearly every occasion.

Oldham away next and got to be looking at winning again although I remember in our Flitcroft choke season we went there late season and got done over.

Looking ahead to Sutton going to be another really difficult game albeit in different ways. There’s no real secret to what they do with being organised and strong on set pieces but give them credit they do it really well. If Martin is good to go would definitely be getting him back in there. I wonder if Jake Taylor might be able to make it on to the bench for this, an extra midfield option particularly a more creative type like him would be very welcome.

Tranmere's home form is the best in the league, I fancy us taking the remaining twelves at home.

Away from home we have Colchester, Bradford, Stevenage Leyton Orient. Despite it looking fairly winnable, we are poor away.

A win at Colchester is vital, the other 3 are winnable but we desperately need to win 2/3 of them to get top 3.

I'd expect our game with Barrow to be close, with one more midweek game from our backlog left I'd expect one or two to be rotated again.

Barrow have had a full week to prepare with a new manager and we've been playing alot of games recently so it will probably be one goal either way if there is a winner.

Wouldn't be shocked to see an improvement from Barrow with Cooper gone, or ourselves to have lower energy levels than we have done in recent games.

oldham away, fighting for their lives.

Their form is terrible, they’ve just lost at home to sutton and exeter. I hate saying stuff like this but on the face of it this should be a win.

That said their star defender is back from suspension and we’ve been off colour recently, the win at rochdale slightly fortunate.

Northampton at home a week tomorrow looks a pretty solid bet to be a complete sell out.

Northampton v Hartlepool is generally one of the biggest home bankers on the calendar. Pools tend to win their home fixtures against them but lose away. We haven't won in Northampton since 1969, and have taken just six points from the 27 visits since then.

We all know what happens next...
