We’ve had a decent record against Crawley overall but doesn’t really mean much going into this game in all honesty.

They seem to be a bit inconsistent this season which reflects in where they are in the table but Casey will have a better take on that than me. I daresay they’ll be a bit embarrassed to have lost to Scunny also so will be looking to prove a point. Good news for us is we have a full week to preparare for the game without any midweek distraction so am quite hopeful we’ll get something.

I'd take a point. As you say, Crawley seem very up and down but have a couple of decent players. Very poor result for them yesterday and I don't imagine Yems will let them get away with it again. We should be full of confidence but we've been burnt so many times by false hope that there's always a nagging feeling things will go tits up at some point.

We do look better than a lot of the teams we have played but it requires a 7/8 out of 10 performance to keep that going.

Woke up in middle of night and thought 'Sod it'
Thought the F1 was on early tv. Not so. Replay began at 8.30 this morning.
So opened thread, watched a film and then went back to bed.

7 of our 12 points picked up away from home in 2021 have came against teams that begin with the letter C, sorry Colchester but you don't stand a chance

Table toppers FGR at home! They also top the away table, too.

GK: Richard O’Donnell

RB: Oscar Threlkeld
CB: Yann Songo’o
CB: Niall Canavan
CB: Paudie O’Connor
LB: Matty Foulds

CM: Levi Sutton
CM: Elliott Watt
CM: Alex Gilliead

ST: Andy Cook
ST: Caolan Lavery

We reverted to 5 at the back against Swindon, and it worked. If we were playing anyone other than FGR, I think we would have reverted back to 4321, but these lot haven’t lost away all season - it’ll be a tough afternoon.

The return of Captain fantastic is massive, though.

Tough trip for us at Salford. Bowyer seems to have gotten a bit of form out of them in recent games.

Expect we may revert to a back 3, so George Ray would come back in. Also expect Jevani Brown to get a start now he’s over his foot problem.

Expect a cagey game. 1-0 either way.

Two big games for Sutton. We’ve not lost 2 league games in a row in 2 years until the last week. It’s a massive test of character for the team. In his post-match interview with SUFCTV yesterday Matt Gray took responsibility for not preparing the team correctly for the Rochdale match. Hopefully he’s learnt from that.

A trip to our favourite away ground!

5 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss (first visit with 10 men!)

It would be fanciful to consider that will keep going but i imagine we will head into this game as favourites. 7 wins and a draw in our last 10 and would be good to head into the cup break extending that run.

Main worry is the end of long runs we’ve been doing this year, lost for the first time in 17 years on the opening day, lost for the first time at home to Rochdale, beat Swindon at our nemisis ground and even beat Scunthorpe away in the league for the first time since the 70s!

Sod’s law this record here could go!

I’d be tempted to go with yesterdays set up, got us on the front foot and found a role for Dennis Politic who looks absolutely class.

Same line up unless Procs is fit.

Worryingly Tranmere have a habit of not turning up at Field Mill with only one win there in the 50 years I’ve been watching them and I missed that one.
Don’t understand Mansfield’s abject failure to compete at the right end of the table in recent seasons considering they are well backed. Perhaps too many chefs are spoiling the broth!

Cursed for being scabs.
A workmate who is from Shirebrook in Derbyshire, who’s Dad was a striking miner is a Stsgs fan, believe they attract a fair amount of support from that area.

Agree with BITDHSS assessment, our record at Field Mill is dire. Play like we did at the weekend and Mansfield will get their win

Harrogate will batter us.

For some reason we’ve sold out the away end, this team really doesn’t deserve the support it gets tbh

Surprised to see Rochdale below us in the table as I thought they started the season well? Last time we played them they were a big draw in the FA Cup, so it seems a bit strange being on an equal footing now.

I saw the goal by Newby from the weekend - intrigued to see how he plays, as it's felt a bit like he's "one that got away". He'd be great in our team.

We haven't won in weeks and our home games have been a bit underwhelming so far - hopeful of scraping a win on Saturday.

Yeah we have significant support from shitbrook, it’s in Derbyshire but has a NG postcode.
