We finally put our stamp on a club tonight. Good performance under JR. Long may it continue.

We are in serious trouble. Wild insists on playing the same system that clearly isn't working and is adamant we will turn things around if we carry on as we are. He's almost deluded as Darren Kelly when he said we could make the playoffs whilst being rock bottom...

Good start to the JR era yesterday with the 3 points, early signs of what he’s going to bring to the table on show (e.g. actually pressing an opponent when they have the ball for instance..)

The ‘GOAT’ Tom Denton on the scoresheet again as well and he looked like he linked up well with Asante. That partnership will definitely be a handful if nothing else, put it that way!!

I thought the performance was quite similar to the recent games against Maidenhead, Altrincham & Notts County. Missed chances and should have put games to bed then go and find ourselves behind. Only this time we came from behind rather than lead from the outset.

Asante looked lively, should have had 3 or 4 to be honest - I thought the Weymouth keeper had a very good game for a young lad.

We seemed to play at a much higher tempo and pressed well, which worked well as they faded - you could tell they'd not played for a month. Whereas in recent games we've gone to pot late on, we shut this game down really well and it was fairly comfortable.

We've got Aldershot and Dover this week so a chance for Rowe to get off to a decent start

Agree with all of that. Aldershot have a number of key players out also - so a good time to be playing them.

Let's hope we take advantage and get max points on the board this week.

It goes without saying points are needed, but the jolt of confidence 2 or 3 wins on the bounce would give the squad would be just as important. As you say - we have been in most games recently, and should have got points from the Maidenhead, Alty and County games, but we didn't.

Exactly that, i'm not getting carried away but 4 / 6 points in the next few days will at least give us some confidence that we aren't perhaps as bad as everyone feared a couple of weeks back. The squad is still poor, and we will need to reshuffle the pack in Jan but if we can pick up some points in the meantime at least there is less pressure on the new boss in the short term and we can look at the rebuild job coming in the summer when every single player is OOC (aside from Asante I assume)
