Cambridge were the first to bring decent numbers to the new ground.
We had a few problems with overzealous stewards and I believe mistakes were made on the night by not opening a gate. Credit to Cambridge for bringing so many fans and hopefully lessons were learnt as subsequent visits by Luton, Wycombe etc. didn't suffer from the same problem.
The away terrace is being replaced by a seated stand with work starting tomorrow.

Pretty much sums it up, plus a fair few innocent bystanders getting battered by the police and nicked! Good to hear lessons have been learned but I know there's a fair few of our lot who won't be back.

Always very impressive seeing a team bounce back to quickly, so congrats again.

Thanks!

Any chance you will be looking to keep Conor Clifford? Would quite like to see him make his loan move permanent.
An absolute certainty we won't be keeping him, Browns never really liked him. I like Clifford I was very surprised a L2 team didn't come in for him when he was made available tbh

I hope a League Two team does come in for him this summer.

Clifford is a must signing, such a good player on the ball and works bloody hard off it. If he does join, we must play him in the middle as he's wasted out on the left.

Congrats guys. Great to see you back, even if we won't cross paths next year which is a shame as I would have liked to visit your splendid new ground.
Enjoy the banter on here next year.

Thanks for the welcome chaps.. First off I hope Graham Wezzley's bunch of hoof merchants don't go up so we can resume that rivalry. Possible games against Orient and Colchester excite me and away days at Pompey and Wimbledon. Think i'll probably avoid sixfields at all costs (horrible place)

It's good to 'bee' back

That's the kind of line I could see Fairclough using. You're not, are you?

Welcome back Barnet. Nice to have a southern based northern club in the league.

Can you move your ground closer to the Northern Line so we can resume the Nirthern Line

Just take the Edgware branch instead of the High Barnet branch. Although the Hive is much hearer Canons Park on the Jubilee Line.

Especially as we'll be spoilt for choice for local away trips next season...

Looking forward to the trip up although tickets are going to be extremely hard to come by for us. It'll sell out extremely quickly.

Apparently we're considering Martin Allen to be our new manager. If he can make decent footballers out of John Akinde and Bondz N'Gala (two of the worst players I've ever seen play for us) then he can't be too bad!

Away end will hold about 1600-1700. I guess if you're anything like Luton then we'll find Pompey fans in the home end as well.

All you need to know is that Luton and bury are both M A S S I V E - as long as you know that and the attitude their fans come with you'll be fine

Can you Barnet fans tell me why our two sides don't like each other? I just go along with it

My Dad says Barry Fry is the reason and its carried from there

I'm not sure about the Barry Fry link but there is some negativity towards Northampton from us bees, mainly with regard to the tasteless chanting/ goading when we got relegated at your place.

I have a feeling we might have knocked you out the cup at your old county ground in the early 90's when Fry was in charge, don't quote me on that though.

We did knock Northampton out of the cup, the year we won promotion first time around from The Conference. There was a bit of feisty match the following year when we scored a last minute equaliser at the County Ground. I think most of the animosity was from Northampton's side, although as mentioned, it did rile us the way the home supporters waved us of when we were relegated.

I just hate that all the Northampton trains out of Euston are constantly cancelled.

Oh, and the relegation thing didn't help. Also when we got promoted the last time; Northampton, Posh and Borient were our closest clubs. Maybe.

I also think we went thro a period of never winning at yours - then had some classic games winning which passed u off a bit. And then 4 ages u were the only team we could consider a rival - until stevenage appeared.

Jesus even I haven't seen all these Bees fans around before!

The dislike of Northampton is mainly due to their fans being c***s when we got relegated at theirs. No need for that.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Is there any fans who do not seem to have a rivalry with Barnet???

I was just expecting us to revive our ridiculous 'why' Rivalry, which no doubt we will of course, but seems everyone else has one also :conf::lol:

some very nice barnet fans so nice to see them back, plus the match threads will be fun, I think alas our hatred may have died down abit, but we'll see. our fans were still hating players like Bailey long after we'd stopped playing each other so we may still have abit of a rift.

London branch will be happy.
