think about 1100 but when redevelopment is complete the entire Atyeo stand
It'll be more like 2-2.5k next year, they're getting the other end of the Atyeo to what away fans have had this season.

Thanks for the welcome guys, it's good to be back!

I didn't think that meant we were giving them a bigger chunk though I just assumed the segregation line would be moved further across the stand.

We'll need to offer a bigger allocation anyway since the overall capacity will be up to around 16k with the South stand up. And when they gave the option of our bit of the Atyeo as the new 'singing' section I'm pretty sure it was 1200 tickets, something like that.

I'd imagine it's the same as this season in terms of variable allocation, along with no pay on the day. Then we can sell more/less home tickets accordingly.

I was under the impression that the segregation line was in block behind goal .

Well it seems like we have never been away. Very optimistic City fans on here and yes we have made light work of League 1 this season but I remember being smashed week in week out a few years ago in this League - a big step up in my opinion.
The season we reached the play off final was possibly the weakest league in the 2nd tier's history and the League has got better every year since.
More than happy to finish anywhere above 20th, we are a small fish in this League.

Bournemouth may be a small club like us, but they have some seriously good players.

This league isn't quite as difficult as we had thought, the momentum from promotion should mean you will be ok and sit in mid table. A couple of good additions may see you around where us and Wolves are.

I completely understand those concerns and don't want to get too confident about our chances - I'd like to think we've got what it takes to finish comfortably mid-table, possibly even better if we make some good additions to the squad. I don't want to appear too confident as I'm aware the Championship is a much tougher league and there are many good teams in it. But, you look through our squad and feel so lucky to have so many talented individuals that work so well as a collective unit. It's a good time to be a City fan.

Welcome back Bristol, nice club and good fans on here.

I think they could do well next season, not saying they'll go straight through, but based on the way Leicester, Norwich, Southampton and Wolves have performed in this division after similarly dominating the Championship I'd be surprised if they don't mount a play-off challenge. After all, they almost got automatic promotion last time round, and their squad seems to be much stronger - that said, apparently they made quite a few changes to the promotion side of 2006/07 having had a fair bit of money to spend (which makes it all the more surprising that they ended up back in League 1).

Tbf in that first season last time around we didn't change a great deal, it was only after then that we spent the money chasing the dream and it all went wrong. Although having said that, that team was always punching above its weight, relying on momentum and an incredible team spirit. The amount of late winners and tight 1-0 wins we got was crazy.

As you say, this team has a lot more quality about it, as can be seen by the fact we already have 10 more points than Johnson's team got with 3 games to play! With a couple of additions up top and more in the way of depth I'm hopeful we can mount a play-off or even another promotion challenge next year, and a top half finish would certainly be realistic.

I would be more than content with half way next season TBH. Yes, we have the finance to compete but the days of a £17M wage bill are thankfully gone.
FWIW, the people in the media saying we could go straight through this division are NOT City fans. We don't expect this league to be easy but are extremely glad to be where we are as a club with our owner and the ground redevelopment. After a couple of years downstairs, with all respect to league 1, it's great to be back!

We signed a total of 8 players throught the season, Marvin Elliott, Michael McIndoe, Lee Trundle, Darren Byfield, Nick Carle, Dele Adebola, Stephen Henderson and Ivan Sproule, while shipping a couple out. Think we spent a max of £2m so could have spent more, and as said above it was largely still the team from before and the belief they had (where the 'we always believe' chant came from) won a lot of games.

Things spiraled out of control after that though and we gradually declined and got relegated, hopefully more solid this time and who knows what we can do with momentum.

I'd just be happy establishing ourselves as a Championship club again, we should be in this division and I'm happy to be here.

Will be a much better atmosphere next season with away fans bringing more - not much fun when teams only bring 150 in this league :(
