They both need a massive squad change . Wrexham will be looking at the playoffs. Stockport will hover around midtable.

Welcome both and congrats. Stockport’s rise is really impressive despite the backing they had, and obviously Wrexham’s budget meant that they should be up there but you’ve still got to do it when it matters.

Wrexham is a new ground for me so be looking forward to ticking that off, whereas I had a cracking day at Stockport last year despite being the coldest I’ve ever been at the football and leaving at 60 minutes.

A good old 20 year long slog to get back to L1. Property developers ran us into the ground, conference tried to kill us off but the fans saved us time and time again. So happy to be back!

League 1 has sure changed a lot since the last time we were here. But by God am I excited

Congrats and welcome to both. Aside from the Mullin thing, one of my best mates is a long term Wrexham fan (he protested outside Hamilton’s house back in the day iirc haha). So it’s great to have them join us next season.

Our relegations and time in the conference bore a lot of similarities with Wrexham’s - financial trouble led to relegation, ground stolen by an unscrupulous director, both got stuck down there for an age and missed out in the play offs a couple of times etc before finally getting up. Both finally got our grounds back too.

But they’re a very different club to us now so the similarities end!

Well done, like your realism too. Someone was on 606 saying they were targeting the playoffs. That would be a stretch, bit I could see you getting to the top half.

Typically next season Stockport and Wrexham are two of the few grounds I need to do to complete the 92, and this is the season we're going to get promoted! I bet Huddersfield get relegated too...
