Countless replays and they still don't mention that he has absolutely shouldered that one in.

Martin Tyler "If City keep conceding these free kicks and corners, West Brom will score".

What do we reckon? I'm saying ..... No.

Been so easy for City this. I can only assume WBA's gameplan was to pack the midfield and hit them on the break but it's not worked at all, City could score another 3 at this rate.
Why would you presume that when they clearly did the exact opposite :bdick:

Alan Parry is commentating on Sky tonight, is Tyler moonlighting somewhere else these days?

The standard of the football on display across all matches in the league on the opening weekend, has been poor.

With punditry like "Have you noticed that the standard of the Prem is decreasing, especially in comparison to the European elite" you'll soon have Martin out of a job. Acute indeed :tw: ;)

City look good. If Kompany and Toure get back on form this season then City can be a serious title contender.

You missed Davie Provan confusing two black players who play for opposite sides, as well as him getting confused between an elite Tennis player in Djokovic and a recently departed City Striker.

Pellegrini ditching the 442 certainly gives City a better chance at wrestling the title from Chelsea.

Indeed. It's ridiculous that he should even attempt to play 442 with the squad at his disposal. Silva is a glorious player and needs to be in that no.10 role.

I think Pellegrini realises it hence his interest in De Bruyne rather than any additional striker, If De Bruyne does come in though it could see Silva move out wide.

I'd rather play De Bruyne and Sterling on opposite wings than displace Silva, he's too good in the number ten position to shunt him around.

Well De Bruyne was average on the wing for Chelsea and has been in outstanding form in a central position for Wolfsburg. If they want a wide attacker then they are potentially making a huge mistake paying a huge fee for De Bruyne.

It's a mistake to pay £47m for him wherever they play him. As good as De Bruyne as centrally, Silva is better - no point in shifting Silva out wide to accommodate him. They'd be better off hijacking our deal for Pedro.

Agreed, especially with the Barcelona connection, it's a surprise they haven't.

City was the most convincing team of the first round. Not taking any conclusions yet though.

They were but WBA were gash. Let's see how they get on against the bores next - hopefully they'll demolish them.
