Confident of this one (not one I'd of thought of saying this time last year!). I think if we keep a clean sheet after the first 20 minutes or even nick a goal then the home crowd will be on their back. I think we might see Danny Williams play instead of Billing this one and Palmer starting.

Huddersfield to lump more pressure on Bilic - will the Dildo Brothers make their move if West Ham lose this one?

I'm not confident of collecting anything from this fixture going by previous performances this season, things are that bad that I'd be content with a point.

Hmm, maybe I'm being guilty of going off reputations here, but I fear that tonight could be a Premier League wake up call for us.

This is all still very new for us, so it's hard to base this on anything tbf. Maybe I still have the lower league attitude of thinking, big name + big stadium = definite defeat.

I'd expect us to go with our usual no fear attitude though, but let's not forget that tonight will be the biggest league crowd we've played in front of for bloody ages, probably decades... different challenges for us, could suit us though!

Glad Lanzini is out, but I think we'll really struggle to cope with balls into Carroll if he features at all.

Bigger crowd than Wembley?

Chicharito just hit the bar there.

That deflection saves Bilic's arse.

Do we have any West Ham fans on here? I miss the days of Mankytoes and Emma nagging the Wigan lot. Them were the days.

Bilic got lucky tonight after taking off Hernandes with goals from Obiang & Ayew, but 3 points is looking good right now

Very lucky. Bizarre that he put Hernandez out wide. I suppose Ayew on was a good sub as it was a more natural fit but the formation is odd. 3 at the back would have allowed them to with a front 2 partnership, but they went 3-4-3 instead.

Papers over the cracks really this win.

Fonte was playing so wide that it resembled a 4411 (Hernandez on the left, Antonio behind Carroll) when West Ham didn't have the ball. His positioning wasns't great all game and he's lucky he didn't have much defending to do. Hernandez did play all over the place when West Ham had the ball so it looked like a 3412 at times but I doubt AM is where he's best used.
All in all, Bilic did a 343 but his players lacked discipline and it showed. I doubt they would have won without that wicked deflection.

Probably the poorest we've been so far but we were on for at least a point before that very unlucky deflection. No complaints though as we had some luck in the first half and should've been losing at half time. Wagner is very honest and being harsher than me, definitely things to learn from tonight.

I feel for West Ham fans. I'm sure they're tired of hearing it, but that's not a football stadium, even if it does look good. The adapted structure is bizarre. Find it hard to believe that they're going to play there long term, but hey ho.

This. I haven't watched the Prem in a while and this was the first time I've watched West Ham on the box since they moved and hearing the bubbles song in this soulless bowl really is frustrating. I loved Upton Park. Great, great ground.

They play crowd noise through the speakers, and sell ice cream in the ground. They're unrecognisable.
