I didn't leave of my own volition. I was abducted by aliens. They took me to a place of wonder, a place where there was harmony and they said that we here on earth could have what they had if we mend our nefarious ways. They showed me horrible things that would befall us if we didn't change, things like nuclear holocaust, children with their skin burning on their bodies and Man U winning the PL again. It was horrible.

They brought me back the other day and told me that I must undergo a personal change. Stop being a cock basically, they didn't use those words obviously because they're aliens, but that was the gist of it. So I will mend my ways and stop being as much as a twat. On a physical level I have undergone some painful, but hopefully transitory changes viz. A constantly sore arse hole and nosebleeds.

It's good to be back.

Are you sure you weren't just in Halesowen?

Well we used to have a thread about the year gone by to say what has been happening in our lives during the past 12 months. Since this thread has fallen a bit behind I'm resurrecting it so we can all say what our 2015 has been like (doesn't have to be just highlights though).

For me, 2015 has been extremely eventful as I expected it to be. The New Year's Eve party was a success which is rare given the previous 2 times I vomitted due to the oysters (I like them but they don't like me, the bitches). Went back to Munich for my last month of my 2-year placement and continued to look for a job. I don't know how many jobs I had an interview for in 2015 but I reckon most of them were in late 2014. I wanted to stay and work in Germany as I was hearing very bad things about the French market.
My most serious lead was for a French bank which went superbly with the operational workforce in Munich and then Frankfurt (for a job planned to be in Stuttgart) but I had to wait several weeks to meet HR in Strasbourg. At which point I couldn't afford to keep living in my flat and I didn't want to overintrude at a friend's flat in which I only stayed a week (fucked a lot though). I had almost a fortnight to wait for the HR interview so it was only logical that I came back to France.
Of course I didn't get the job because HR now control the business. It lengthened my dole period to 5 months. I was this close to be on benefits but was finally able to get a temp job which I am still doing (and for which I've had my contract extended for another 6 months).

Given that money was tight in 2015, I couldn't afford to go to many games unfortunately. Only 4 new grounds in 2015 which are Salzburg, Gent, Paris FC and Créteil. Going to QPR tomorrow and will get to a few Euro 2016 games no doubt. Probably the EL final and a CL game with PSG if we draw Atletico Madrid or Zenit.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
My highlight of 2015 was turning 21 on December 12th. It was such a great day. Such wonderful memories.

If you can remember it, it wasn't THAT great..

Dropped out of Uni. Got a job. Reapplied to Uni. Travelled to a load of places. Met Joe. Went to The Belgrade derby. Drunk too much.

Good year that.

Good to meet you Scanners.

My year has been pretty good. After a year and a half of being fed up with my job, I'm now enjoying it as I've changed roles and the future is looking great.

I've only done a couple of trips but both were fantastic. The Belgrade Derby was class. Ohrid was nothing short of spectacular. Hopefully I do a few more trips next year.

And I've drunk a hell of a lot. Staying sober tonight as I'm up at 4 for work tomorrow. Roll on 2016 I say.
