Brighton 1-0 City (03/04 L1 Play off final)
Swansea 7-1 City (05/06)
City 0-6 Cardiff (09/10)
City 0-3 Millwall (10/11)
City 1-1 Shrewsbury (13/14)
All ones that stick out as particular low points. Too many performances between 2009 and 2013 that I could mention really.
I'd like to see someone top this...
Morecambe 6-1 Wolves (they were in the conference, we were in the Premier League).
6-0 home defeat by Bristol Rovers in a league 1 game.First half we didn't play too bad and it was 0-0 at half time.A shit performance in the second half from the worst Reading side in my lifetime.also a crap performance.
Those were the days. Back when we weren't complete pushovers at the Amex.I wouldn't call it the 'worst ever' - but I went to Brighton away the first season the AMEX opened; 5 fucking hours in the car, we lost 2-0 and didn't have a shot on target the whole fucking game.
Brighton is definitely one trip I won't make next season. Those were the days. Back when we weren't complete pushovers at the Amex.
The one that sticks out for me, for the sheer inexplicability of it all, was a 1-0 defeat to Walsall at Withdean circa 2008, when they played 70 minutes of the match with 9 (NINE) men. We had all 11 for the entire 90. They scored their goal AFTER the 2 sendings off. Our entire gameplan seem to consist of our left back Matt Richards lofting one harmless cross after the next into the arms of Clayton Ince. It was a depressing afternoon, and one that summed up Micky Adams' second spell at the club.
Losing 1-0 at Walsall in either our first or second season in L1 when we didn't have a shot on target.Sheffield Wednesday beating us 2-0 on a gentry day. 2-0 was flattering to us, we played a non league centre back upfront, on his own. One of very few games I've left early from.
Millwall beating us 4-0 in our relegation season. Played in front of the sky cameras and the players literally couldn't be arsed. I also think this game sealed our relegation.
