Our biggest cup shock was smashing Brentford 1-0 at their own gaff in 2011. I also vote Brentford.

We dream of playing Brentford. Do they have more than one man and a dog watching ?

Domestic succes and youth count the most. FFS Aston Villa won the Europa Cup I at some point.
Domestic success, you say, huh? They won nothing of note till the 1990s, they've NEVER won the Italian League, their record home attendance is less than both ours and Wrexham's...... Are you sure you're not confusing then with some other Italian club?

And as our friend from Barrow points out, Villa were Champions of Europe in 1982. Forest were also Champions of Europe, TWICE, in 1978 and 1979. Also, Villa were drawing crowds of 30k to 40k+ in the 3rd Division

The biggest team I played didn't even have a name. They were a side the fat lad who lived at the bottom of our road put together, when his family moved across town, and challenged his old neighborhood to a match. We went over their one Sunday afternoon for the showdown. It was a Hell of a match. His Dad, Sir Matt Trilby (so named after his hat) was watching and "managing". 2-0 down after 20 minutes we were 3-2 up at half time. There was an onslaught in the second half, we defended like Trojans but conceded 2 in the last 5 minutes. Cue hysterical celebrations and recriminations all round. I still have nightmares.:ffs:

Thanks for asking.

Might have lost track in this thread, but Dover drew Crystal Palace at home in the 3rd round of the
FA Cup

I once scored an own goal from the centre circle at my local park as a youngster. Safe to say my lifelong dreams of one day playing for Brentford were left in tatters after that mishap.

Even Jesus has never played against Vitesse Arnhem reserves.

2 UEFA Cups are still achievements. They won a Super Cup, 3 different league titles and youth like Buffon is what they produce. in a few years Parma will knock Juve from the throne

Probably the biggest game in our history was the 4th Qualifying Round v Tranmere circa 2016. Even managed to pull off one of the shocks of the ages.

Probably because there's a bizarre Brentford 'fan' who has suddenly appeared posting exclusively in the Non League section.

Check the Championship forum for a thrilling thread about why Brentford should get relegated so they win more in League 1...

It may be different for you, but i come from another country (Netherlands) and i see my teqm fail every time i go to London. I don't think league one is our place, but the Championship is depressing

Ah, I see - relegate them so that they are more likely to win when you visit the UK.
