Not after a row El Guapo but can't say I'm surprised to see you've been quiet after Brum's poor start. I'm sure you'll be frequenting the forum if/when your results pick up.
Slowly lost interest. Was here all throughout that run with Zola and was still active during the majority of Cotterill’s tenure. But it’s time now to move on.

Football is an entertainment business. /debate

Results will come, I'm not concerned. We certainly won't be setting the league on fire, but we'll be well clear of the mess at the bottom.

What I watched today you most probably will be ok, Ipswich were better side first half, final or wrong ball seemed to let you down in second half. You looked a bit suspect at back with crosses into box, this contributed to us winning game, we was nowhere near as good as we were Wednesday night v Millwall, I suspect 3 games inside a week affected one or two of our players.
I can't complain after picking up 6 points from 2 home games. :woo:

Really? I think Ipswich will be in a relegation struggle, 2 poor sides and still they lost.
We are showing some battling spirit but lack quality.
With Bannan we should be okay, take him out of the side and I think we would be in a relegation fight too.
Hope I'm wrong and I'm being harsh but although we won I thought the game was poor.

I think we'll be fine, some of our fans are underestimating how many really good Championship players we have, Forestieri, Bannan, Joao, Lees, Hutchinson etc, we don't have the massive depth of experienced players anymore but they've been replaced by a few very promising young talents. I can see Thorniley and Penney being very regular starters by the end of this season. We'll be a fair way off the top 6 as we've not addressed any of the issues we've had with the squad for the last 2 years, but somewhere between 10th-14th I reckon.

8 out of the 9 goals we’ve conceded have been from set pieces. Sort that out and a bit of confidence up top and we should move up to our favoured 15th. Plus if refs werent convinced football is a non contact sport

With Bannan yes, if anything happens to him lower.
If we can keep Forestieri and get him firing then maybe higher.

Loving these Suffolkonians in denial of what they've done. Down down down, dunno about McCarthy last season but they'll break all kinds of records this season.

Same story today, played some good stuff but missing the final ball/shot. I thought we had the better of it and looked the better footballing side before the joke of a red, but it counts for nothing if we don't have our shooting boots on.

It's early days but I hope one of the 3 loans Hurst is looking at is a striker. I'm not convinced by Harrison, think I'd prefer to see Sears but don't think he'd suit the lone striker role at all.

Lots of positives, but goals win matches. Must remedy. Though with two controversial reds in the first 5 games, I won't start worrying just yet. Hopefully we finally win a Derby and get our first 3 points on Sunday.

There’s been 5 games so far. Too early to decide if it’s a bad decision.
The ones letting us down are Micks players...

At the start of last season we scored with almost every shot and we were told it won’t last, it didnt.

So far this year, we’ve had the least shots against but conceded from most. Justifys Hurts decision to drop Bart (although some were deflected shots). Surely this won’t last either so there’s reason to be optimistic!

Pleasantly surprised to see us 2nd on that list - though our defence has really improved a lot this year.

Remember those conversations last year - everyone telling us we’d go down when we won just one of our first 11 games, me saying we’ll bounce back, just had a lot of bad luck (the stats showed that on our play we deserved to be about 6th). Was proved right too as we finished in the Top 10 again.

Great job by Hurst on your defence having the best SoT record despite all the changes you’ve had to make.

Our ‘defensive strength’ is worse than last season so far because for the first few games Keogh had a meltdown. Surprising I know.

Jog on would ya. Got much better to do than tell Town fans we were wrong? You’re third in the league and I’ve read your fans aren’t happy with the manager!

Football is about ambition, under McCarthy there was no ambition. I’m losing patience with Hurst but I 100% believe a change was needed

Would much rather be crap and be relegated than pointlessly plod along in mid table every season. Change was right whatever. Been to every game this season as well

The problem with Hurst is he signed a bunch of players from Shrewsbury, Accrington and so on. Ridiculous transfer policy that looked doomed from the start. It was a big gamble and signing lots of lower league trash that doesn't seem to have worked out.

The transfer policy I agree has been bizarre. When he took over, we had a decent squad but he’s sold or loaned out the main core of the team.

He appears to have even lost faith in his own signings. Harrison, Edun, Nsiala, Jackson and Chalobah either on the bench or not in the squad.

Got to give lower league players more time, takes a few games to get used to this level, can’t drop them at the first sign of trouble.

Trying to bed that many at the same time though, really bad error.

At 5pm on a match day I tend to be walking back to the pub and digesting the result etc not being a facetious knob on a forum, you should try it Scott.

How have Nsiala and Nolan been? Webster's looked excellent since the Boro game, bit weak at times though.

Can't and won't feel sorry for Ipswich currently though, wouldn't happen under McCarthy this.

Love how certain posters on this forum use my name as if they've cracked the enigma code.
Some City fans call for Johnson to be sacked I agree, they are as misguided as the majority of Ipswich fans as is being proven at the moment.

The issue at Town was not the departure of Mick but the manner of it, the process of appointing a new manager and the subsequent transfer policy used.

Any other club would have hounded him out a year ago for his results and his attitude to the fans.

Regardless, today we will forget everything and remember a Town legend. RIP Kevin Beattie

This is just Hurst’s below par start to a season before things start to improve around October/November time. He’ll get there. He’ll never admit he’s wrong but he will swallow his pride at some point.
