can be all time or in your life

all time for Bolton has to be Nat Lofthouse , in my life time has to be either Jay Jay Okocha or Nicholas Anelka

All time is pretty obvious.

Ricardo Fuller is the most talented player i've seen for PNE though, people don't realise how good he was before his knee operations. He still went on to have a good Premier League career but had it not been for his knees, he would have played for a bigger and better club than Stoke who moulded him into a bit of a targetman.

All time : Steve Bruce
My lifetime : Hate to say it because he's a proper wrong'un, but Marlon King was absolute class when he was with us.

All time, you're probably looking at David Seaman but in my life time, George Boyd.

Sounds silly maybe due to the fact Etherington, Bullard, McKenzie and Davies had good Premier League careers but Boyd is genuinely a wonderful talent and if he had that extra yard of pace, I'd have no doubt he'd be a big player for a team fighting for a Europa League place.

In my life time Robbie Keane or Dion Dublin. Both superb strikers and were childhood heroes.

A lot of people say Tommy Hutchinson is the best to play for the club.

Shame Marlon was such a tosser. Had the ability to be a top class Premier League striker.

Dean Ashton, without a shadow of a doubt. Not just my life time, probably best ever. He could/should have gone on to play at the very, very top. Absolutely gutted when he broke his ankle, devastated when he retired.

We've had a few, Alick Jeffrey, Syd Bycroft, Peter Doherty, Ian Snodin, Harry Gregg, Peter Kitchen, Tony Woodcock, Brian Deane, Darren Moore, Rufus Brevett.

Out of those Alick is renowned as being the best, Peter Kitchen was the best I have seen, better than Woodcock.

Edward Sheringham and Tim Cahill. There are a fair few all time candidates for before my time but I'm not really in the best position to comment.

Deano was immense obviously, easily the 2nd best for me. He couldn't do half the things Powell could do though.

Best- For skill I guess Ashley Young and for just bring so good as a striker Heidar Helguson.

Before my time would be John Barnes and Luther Blissett.

I saw Beckham play for us, but he wasn't anywhere near as 'good' as he turned out.

Apart from him, definitely Ricardo Fuller.

Did I ever mention that David Beckham had a spell at PNE?.....Because he did, y'know.

I always find it hard to believe when I hear Preston fans praising Fuller so much, I know a few clayheads who look at him like a God too, never seemed that good to me.

Alive during Sheringham's time with us but way too young to see him in action.

Gonna be controversial and say that Neil Harris is the best Millwall player I've seen in the flesh. Untouchable from 99-01 and more naturally gifted than Cahill.

Before my time but for what he achieved in the game you could argue Stepney into that top 3 as well.

Also, on Cahill. Ifill had more talent in one leg than Cahill had in his whole body. Difference was in mental fortitude and luck with injuries. Paul Ifill could, on occasion, display the sort of talent that I've never seen another player possess.

Same. He was crap here and even worse at Portsmouth.

I remember when we played you years back and he was sent off early in the first half for violent conduct, bit of an idiot too.

He used to drive around near my school, we would always stick our fingers up at him and he'd give it back, good laugh to be fair.

When I lived in Scotland I used to watch Hearts a lot, when Fuller was there, he was immense, would win loads of penalties!
