For us, it would have to be Paddy Madden. He has been played out of position all season long and managed to grab 14 goals. He's better at tracking back on the wing than our actual wingers. He's the only player that actually seemed to care during Wilcox's shit times at the start of the season. What a guy Madden is.

Bradshaw probably, just because we look infinitely more likely to score when he plays than when he doesn't. Mentions to Richard O'Donnell who's been predominantly excellent this season and Anthony Forde who is rapidly growing into an excellent league 1 winger.

John Egan.
Way too good for us.
Too good for League one actually.
Bradley Dack has also been superb since Taylor left and he actually plays, and in his best position.
They are 22 and 21 respectively too.

Jim O'Brien probably. Doing the work of 3 midfielders. In a better team would be very good.

Tough one. A couple of months ago I would have said Nathan Byrne but I actually think that as the season has gone on, Jordan Turnbull has been our most consistent performer. It's hard work being a defender in our system but Turnbull looks like he has been playing there for years and at this stage in the year is my player of the season.

Tom Clarke is our Steady Eddie, only seen him have one bad game in a PNE shirt and that's when he was rushed back from injury.

Joe Garner is our best player and goal scorer but has missed around two months of the season.

So for me, it's Paul Gallagher, stepped up to the plate in the absence of Garner, has a hand in the vast majority of our goals and his 5 FA Cup goals have earned us tonight's big money-spinner. His set pieces have been excellent this season.

If we manage to hold onto both of them past the end of this season, we've either been promoted or the scouting network of this country is fundamentally broken.

If he didn't miss so many games through suspension it'd probably have been Liam Noble. We haven't really had a standout player, which is our main problem really. In terms of importance, Carroll and Garry Thompson have likely contributed the most points. Jones has been consistent.

No-one basically. Hopefully Curtis Thompson keeps up his form and wins it despite only playing half the season.

For the purpose of this thread though. BAJNER

Ben Garratt. He did well last season but this season it has just clicked for him as a young keeper. Can't really praise him enough, it's not just the incredible saves he makes but his positioning, his commanding of his area and his reliability is just outstanding and has been all season. He'll go very far. Definitely deserves a Eng U-21 call up in the next squad imo.

Anthony Grant is a certain runner up.

A few contenders for us, but overall I'd say Luke freeman, with korey smith a close 2nd.

Honourable mentions to Flint, Ayling and Bryan too.

John Egan hands down, will be surprised if no bids come in for him in the summer

Mark Marshall has been superb for us or Chris Neal (barring his blunder against Barnsley!) easily one of the best keepers in the division thankfully or we'd have conceded far more with our powder puff back line.

None of the twats. Apart from maybe Aaron Phillips. He's been out injured enough that he hasn't had the chance to be properly shit yet.

AS mentioned, ours is tough to call but I would put 3 slightly above the rest.
Korey Smith has been awesome.
Aden Flint has been immense.
Luke Freeman has become an excellent playmaker now he has settled into the role.
In the last couple of months JET and, obviously, Matt Smith have come to the fore but nobody has been a weak link tbh.

My vote goes to Korey Smith. One of the main reasons we can play with 3 at the back and still have the best defensive record.

Give us a wad of cash and we'd still say no I should think.
At least I now know that Pinxton is somewhere near Chesterfield so thanks for enlightening me. :D
