Last one of the season. Who do you think will win the title? Will Cheltenham see out their title challenge, or will they buckle under the pressure and allow FGR to pip them at the post? Or do you think Grimsby can pull it back?

Regardless, both will have immense point tallys, and imo both teams deserve promotion!

Didnt Wrexham once finish on 98 points and not go up? I know we were 3rd and finished on 89. Don't think either of us even made it to the Play Off final that year either.

Travesty if Cheltenham don't. They've been top most of the season and played good football. FGR have "efficiently" blagged 1-0 wins and whilst anyone that wins it clearly deserves it, it would be a poor reflection on the league.

Hardly immense point tallies, check some previous seasons and see that this year will be pretty average in comparison. There's been some unbelievable sides down here getting over 100 points.

All this use of "travesty" and "deserving" is nonsense anyway. If FGR finish top they will have deserved it and it won't be a travesty for anyone, neither club winning the title helps the natural order at all in case you haven't noticed. Whoever finishes top deserves it because this is a fucking nightmare of a league to win and it still takes a good manager to do. Fleetwood beat us to the title that year because they had Vardy and were better over the season, we still should have easily won the playoffs that year based on our squad but we royally fucked up.

I still expect Cheltenham to win it, I think I predicted them to either win the title or the playoffs at the start of the season anyway.

Agree with Master D, the points tallies of the top two are going to be good, but I don't think Cheltenham (if they win) will break the 100 point barrier, something Fleetwood and Crawley did comfortably.

I actually think FGR will win it, assuming Grimsby beat/hold Cheltenham tomorrow night with one of their usual excellent performances against the top teams.

Unless something drastic happens, Grimsby wont get close enough to Cheltenham & FG.

Cheltenham i think will just edge it, think they've got past their wobble, FG just starting theres

I think it could even be all but mathematically decided in the next couple of games actually especially if Cheltenham win tonight, which is obviously no shoe in, but if they do, the pressure will be on big time for FG to take maximum points against Wrexham (h) and Braintree (a) just to stay in touch.

When you then look at Cheltenham's last four fixtures after tonight, Guiseley, Halifax, Macclesfield and Lincoln you sort of get the feeling even if FG do manage to negotiate those two fixtures with six points bagged, with their far superior GD tucked safely in the bin you struggle to work out how or where they could then throw it away.

Cheltenham for me, and maybe by 7,8 points, and for the first time in months, I have a sneaky suspicion "if they lose tonight" that Grimsby, with some outrageous fixtures remaining will actually finish outside the top three

Grimsby won the title in pre-season. Cheltenham will win the play-offs.

Think Cheltenham will win it especially if they beat Grimsby tonight ( looking forward to that ). It really shows this season a bit like last that the two clubs running away with it should be automatically promoted. Will be interesting to see how the club that misses out perform in the play offs.

Nah it won't be easily, only by 2 or 3 points.

You do know that you are playing Cheltenham at football don't you, not the game that seems more popular in these parts, you need goals not points!

Oh, and all the very best of luck tonight, I will be cheering you on from the comfort of my sofa!

I thought we were talking about winning the title, not tonights game..........

I'm actually being a bit modest saying we will win the league by 2 or 3, if we win all 8, Cheltenham and FGR lose all 5, we could piss this league by 10 points, easy peasy!

Can only go by what I've seen, but both times Cheltenham played us they looked very good. FGR looked decent at ours and dire at theirs. Not very scientific, but there you go..Grimsby to win the title as they have been by far the best time I've seen this year.... once.

Getting ready for tonight. Got my black and white shirt on, practicing clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, FISH.

Had to get an inflatable at short notice, so this will have to do.

Hi Chris. Sorry but that is a little too risque. Sorry to be a spoil sport but we have got in trouble before for allowing too many offensive/risque images.

Likewise with Cheltenham, we had a fairly even game with them at our place but the first twenty minutes or so at theirs was a good as we have played all season, even their fans thought we might have shaded it. I only watched our game at yours on the telly, but thought we were pretty good...though I concede that last weekend we were utter toilet. Had you been a bit sharper in front of goal, or Arnold not been on top form when required, you might have headed home with all three points.

Grimsby were good at our place, but so were Tranmere and Gateshead, hopefully Wrexham will suffer a severe loss of form tomorrow...or we can recover what we did early doors at Cheltenham, as we will probably need to.

Please come on back up Cheltenham - lovely club and town and well, no-one in the league (apart from a few) have a clue who forest green are.

Great win tonight

This is why Grimsby have missed out again. Based upon results against the bottom eight teams, Grimsby would be 15th - just above Torquay.

Yep it's been the case for years now and I'm not sure we can blame it on big club syndrome anymore. Stepping up our game for the top teams is redundant when you bottle it against the bottom ones. While it gets us into the playoffs it won't change.
